Yep, just checked it in my discman. Is the original UK radio edit shorter? I keep thinking its 3 minutes and some odd seconds...

You know, it could be like the remastered Heart Disco mix found on the further listening of the Actually reissue. I believe the time for the mix on the Heart cd single is 7:30, but on the further listening its at 8:20 or something. I remember saying that it sounded like they modified the tempo or pitch to increase the track timing. Maybe a similar case here? Otherwise the mix sounds identical to the Beatmasters radio edit.

hmm would go for a "beatmasters 7" - early fade" -- a cold ending 4:44 version... But okay, we'll see when I get all US items in here in two weeks.
Thanks a million

no it's okay! You helped a lot tonight!
*edit*
for sure now: it's a faded "4:44 beatmasters 7" version"

It's quite remarkable: the single version of Heart is about 18 (??) seconds longer than the album version, as available on the European version of PopArt. Now, for some weird reason, I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing is shortened with approximately the same 18 seconds.
This feeds speculation that CD1 contains the maximum possible amount of music and that the whole Pop-Art seperation thing is not much more than using the available capacity of the cd's as effective as possible...

Indeed, although I still dont understand why the "Video Mix" of Suburbia is on there!

Steffen,
This mix is slightly longer than the 7" Mix, albeit by a few seconds longer intro.

and do we have this 'longer' version on any other PSB release?
