I may be losing touch, but there doesn't look to be any big name acts on that list, at least none that I recognise anyway. Usually GV has at least one big name. They have also said that this is the first round of confirmed acts so maybe there are more to come? Let's not give up hope just yet

True Rusty - the list of acts are all very MySpace!
They do normally have a headline act that's announced later.
Perhaps I'll just head to Europe for the tour?

Beastie Boys have just been added to the lineup. Looks like they are the headliners, definitely no Pet Shop Boys then.

Well, the latest rumour now is PSB at the V Festival - 31 March Sydney.
Someone wrote that it said in today's paper that PSB are likely headliners.

I wonder if they'll "choose" to be homosexual here in Perth.

The Pets are (allegedly) now confirmed for the V Festival:
http://www.virtualfestivals.com/festiva ... cleid=3098
Festival is to be exported to Australia next Spring. Following months of speculation, two one-day festivals will take place in Sydney and the Gold Coast with several bands already confirmed to play...
Pixies, Gnarls Barkley, The Rapture, Groove Armada, Soulwax and Pet Shop Boys are the first acts confirmed to perform at the two festivals. Both days are expected to attract tens of thousands of music fans.
The two dates are at Sydney's Centennial Park on 31 March and at Gold Coast Avica Resort on 1 April.

Holy crap. How exciting.
I'll believe it when I see it confirmed on the PSB site.

I know! I'm waiting for the official site to confirm before getting VERY excited. My first live PSB after 20 years of being a fan is getting closer.
Maybe there'll be other gigs, as surely Melbourne deserves a show?
