I have 2 rather thread-bare links.

1: I had a drink and a chat with Graham Massey (808 State) after one of their gigs 5 years ago. 808 State remixed Disappointed by Electronic which was co-written by Neil.

2: My former boss grew up on Tyneside and, according to her, her uncle used to play cricket with Neil's dad. Neil also attended these games.

My downstairs neighbor is Jonathan Stockhammer's sister -- he was the conductor for the Dresdner Sinfoniker on Battleship Potemkin. I was invited to go with them to it's premier performance but was inundated with work. Oh, how I regret not having gone -- as it turns out they hung out with Neil and Chris after the show.

Hmmm...
I've played piano pieces by Philp Glass in concerts before. Glass wrote his "Heroes" and "Low" Symphonies based on the David Bowie albums. Bowie did "Hallo Spaceboy" with the PSB.

I briefly shared a flat with a lady who was at uni with Brett Anderson who sang a lovely duet of Suede's 'Saturday Night' with Neil and snorted coke in a hotel room with him (allegedly).
