It's a lucky that the Italian PSB mailing list has an acclaimed italian Dj in it so we have could listen a good remix of Numb. EMI is not been interested to do some remixes of a great track. Weak packing for this CDS but the b-sides are outstanding in expecial way Bright Young Things

The video looks expensive to me. I think it is excellent.

B-sides for this single were also excellent, and I loved the sleeve. But I would agree that they should have had alternate sleeves for the two releases.

But it's not rare the artists make 3/4 versions of single with the same cover. For example I've got a single by Shakira (Don't Bother) in 4 different versions but with the same cover except taht one is in black with and the others no. Sugababes too have made different versiions of the singles with the same cover

Maybe that was the only photo from the session that they were happy with. Too late to go back and reshoot it! And the only design alternative they came up with was the dark red blurred "NUMB" on black, which might not have worked very well under a shiny plastic CD sleeve.

It's a shame in the sense that they tend to do something interesting like make the two CD singles "pair up" – one a picture of Neil, one a picture of Chris, for example. But I'd rather have the two CDs with the same picture, if that's something they're happy with – if you take the view that nothing of theirs goes out without their design approval – rather than a badly designed compromise.

I would have thought the video expensive what with having to get liscensing for each of the 10 russian films and then time in post production getting the scenes to merge together effortlessly.

Yeah, licensing a bunch of crappy old Russian films and cutting them together with a laptop must've cost millions.

For sure is more work (and time, and money) than taking a video camera to the subway station, filming a few mices around and a PSB performance on a cheap stage and merging the images randomly... :?

I also think Numb video is excellent...

A fair point. Gotta love those mice. Basically, PSB videos are cheap.

None of the Very videos were cheap...they may look cheap but computer stuff like that costs! Ditto with A Red Letter Day the vido may look cheap/boring but I'm sure they had to pay all those people that queued.

the only cheap thing of the numb-single is the tracklisting. it says

1) numb
2) bright young things
3) party song
4) numb video

but 2) is party song and 3) is BYT

I dont dare to hope that mine is the only copy with that flaw ;-)
choose a song when the night's too long
