I think Was it worth it and Flamboyant were excellent singles (with smashing b-sides), whereas DJ Culture and particularly Miracles were substandard.

I agree, Flamboyant and Miracles are both superb. Was it worth I loved when I heard at Heaven, before it was released. And I've mentioned this before but the DJ Culturemix by the Grid is the definiteive version of the song, with the guitar accentuated. But it's still a little weird I agree.

i listen to bth song rather seldom. but if i do i like them very much.
these are songs i do not become addicted to, so there is much more freedom for me to choose them for a special listening :-)

Hey don't knock Was it worth it?. I like it musically and also it has a deeper meaning for me.

Being a straight single guy in Oz, who is a PSB fan is really not an easy life.
But I believe in The Boys music and I believe that prejudice/nay stupidity is wrong.
And I listen to “Was It Worth It?”. Yes it's worth fighting for.

DJ Culture has skip factor but DJ Culturemix is good.

I thought someone might agree with me... I just don't feel the two earlier songs, perhaps because they just wrote them for the sole purpose of having new songs on a greatest hits, and Chris saying it was a waste of time while writing them. Plus them sucking doesn't help . Nevertheless, thanks for your opinions!

So what? Other songs were written with "the sole purpose" of being on an album, or being b-sides, or to fit in with a musical etc. I cannot see why that should add or subtract from their merits?
and Chris saying it was a waste of time while writing them.
Where do have that quote from?

It seems too commercial for me, the record company probably decided they should have a greatest hits and told them it needed some new songs. Not as natural as recording an album, yes, which achieves financial success, but also to succeed artistically. I believe the Behaviour 36 page booklet, under one of those songs. Has to be, because I don't know where else I'd read it. What I got from it was Chris was complaining the whole time recording and his heart didn't seem to be in it. Whenever I hear the artist isn't behind the product I lose some interest. Chris also said he didn't like 'A Different Point of View', and if the guy who's making and selling the song doesn't like it, it's hard to enjoy it with the same fervor.

well, i have a similar problem with the quite a few songs of the nightlife album. the songs themselves are fine, but i dislike the sound or the production of them. e.g. "closer to heaven" (brilliant musical-versions!) and "footsteps" (superb live-version, on montage). cant hear the album-versions, though.

I love Was it worth it?, but DJ Culture is in my bottom 3 PSB singles (along with Where the streets have no name and Ab Fab in case you're interested)

Flamboyant is a top track but I don't care that much for Miracles - average let's say.

Hey controversy is good.
"footsteps" (superb live-version, on montage)
Agreed. :D

Compared to the average PSB song, I'd score them each as follows....

DJ Culture: 9/10
Was It Worth It?: 7/10
Miracles: 8/10
Flamboyant: 9/10

Great songs all of them, and all worthy of being singles.

Retro. :)

I'd score them as...

DJ Culture: 9/10
Was It Worth It?: 7/10
Miracles: 9/10
Flamboyant: 6/10

I've never been keen on artists adding a couple of songs to a GH package. As a fan I always feel duped having to buy songs I already have, and you know the two tracks are going to be released as singles and they almost never are 'greatest' hits in the scheme of the others.

That said, if thats how we have to get a couple of extra PSB songs then so be it.

I think people here ARE agreeing with you. Flamboyant and Miracles are far superior songs in terms of melody and production, although Was it worth it? is very much of it's time. The later two singles are 'stayers'
