I've bought 2 copies of Fundamental: the european limited edition and the japanese limited edition. But I'b buy too the standard Japan edition with 1 CD and the video of I'm With Stupid. And I've read that a chinese edition with only 10 songs already exists
I bought Fundamental the UK version Special Edition and then downloaded the two extra Japan songs from iTunes and the two demos and have made an European MP3 special edition Just burn the tracks to CDR and rip them again as MP3s.
The formats for I'm with stupid lived up to the name!
I found a joke video once that has been edited so looks like Blair and Bush are singing a love song to each other. That would be a good idea for a Pethead I'm with stupid video.
I'm become a little bit sad when today I've seen this about the copies of Fundamental sold worldwide:
TOTAL By Artsits Name 06-07
Pet Shop Boys Fundamental 392.000 421.400
I've found this on www.worldwidealbums.tk, Ihope it's not completely true: I can't beleieve that Fundamental is gone worse than Release (incredible hal copies of Release ) Does someone have other dates about this?
It would be quite shocking if it sold lesser than Release, but with Digital the prefered format, one needs to consider that ! unless everyone only downloaded MINIMAL and the much loved INTEGRAL
Don't forget Russia!
There are sold many Fundamental albums.
Yes - and each and every one of them an illegal pirate copy!
It was but now there is no pirate Cds in our city, believe me.
Now we have special Russian edition, they are cheapper than Europe CDs but they were made in Russia.
I've contacted ther administator of that site and he has said that Fundamental has had a little improved in its sales with 438.600 copies sold worlwide.
I hope that one day we'll have the exact dates of this album: it's hard to believe that Release has had more copies sold...
Neil was recently asked in a german interview what he thought of Robbies "flop" album Rudebox. He laughed and said that Rudebox sold 4 million copies worlwide and that this "flop" was as big as the PSBs biggest selling album (he didn't say which one but it should be Introspective I guess, probably Very...)
Now this site says that Rudebox so far sold a little more than only 2 million copies worldwide. I don't know how this site got the exact sales of all the albums and artists and I'm also quite surprised how wrong Neil then was by saying it sold 4 million copies so I really don't know what figures are the real ones. if Neil was right then I guess Fundamental also sold more than this page claims it has but we don't know.
Someone should really ask Neil about this. He was once asked about the Release sales and said back then that it sold 750 000 copies worldwide.
Now it would is really hard to believe that Release sold 300 000 copies more than Fundamental...
Here www.worldwidealbums.tk I've found this data. Today the administrator of that site has written a @-mail to me saying that the sellings of Fundie are between le 408.000 and 438.600 copies. If one day there will be again the chance to send questions for PSB to publish on Literally, this is for sure the mine

To me, this figure sounds about right. Record slaes given by labels and artists are notoriously inflated. Usually when I hear two widely different sales figures for a project, I tend to believe in the lower figure, due to this phenomenon. I also believe that the figures quoted for Nightlife and Release in this thread are inflated.
If I'd had to guess purely based on chart positions, longevity and the state of PSB's success I'd guess that the last three albums had done something like:
Neil stated in the Q&A section on the official site some years ago that "Release" had sold 750000 copies. It was considered a failure compared to "Nightlife" so that one probably sold at least 1 million copies...
