IMHO, Canada has one of the most exciting indiescenes around.
Amazing. It took nine replies for somebody to mention Junior Boys, a classic but still ultramodern electropop-duo in the tradition of you-know-who.
And let's not forget Psyche either.
I forgot Junior Boys were from Canada! I've actually gone off them slightly, probably overplayed their albums.

if its the same guy I think it is... I came to know who he was because I was watching some movie called pump up the volume with christian slater and I thought the opening song "everybody knows" was actually kinda cool.
um, anyways when I was young there was this metal band called helix who I was a really big fan of. they did that song that was sort of like a cheerleader chant, give me a r.o.c.k whatcha got ...rock!
a bit corny but fun.
