Yazoo were great. Vince Clarke completely lost it after that, though.

Going by an earlier post regarding them both having different idea's, adding to that the split from Depeche Mode and a tune or two with other bands (was it Assembly?) Is it fair to say that Vince Clarke wants it his way or no way? I think even the first period of Erasure, the loyalties weren't 50/50.

It was a long time ago that I read this, but I recall an interview where Vince said something to the effect that his partnership with Andy worked well because Andy was really only interested in the two things which Vince was not: singing and writing lyrics.

The problem now is that Andy has too much conrol and bitch slaps Clarke. That's, in part, why the quality of Erasure, post-Yazoo has suffered.
