I have read somewhere (this forum? other forum? popjustice?) that it helped the album sales climb up more than expected due to huge radio play and for this reason it served its purpose well.
Maybe, but "outsold" is definitely the wrong term to use.

I don't see how. When something sells more than something else, it is usually deemed to have outsold it. 'The Loving Kind' has sold more copies than over half of their other singles, therefore, it has outsold them.

Thank you Fugitive. I'll abstain from questioning BlueSwan's use of the Danish language, as I'm yet to see it in written form.
And, yes, although The Loving Kind peaked lower than GA's previous single releases, its total sales are higher than around 9 or 10 of these.
