Anderson looks a top bowler. Needs to prove it this Summer.

Ireland v Sri Lanka at the moment and it's game on.

I reckon that England will win the First Test. Cardiff takes spin, and Australia's spinner is busy playing poker and texting nurses. After that, it's up for grabs. I'd have had England as slight favourites until Australia beat South Africa away, so now I'm going for Australia to retain the Ashes 3-2.

I think we are past our low point.
It was in bowling we dipped and half a dozen younger bowlers
have been cycled thru the int'l side and are now ready for more.

But it could be another even and entertaining series.

As long as it's a good series. Too often they have been one-sided and it must have been boring even for the England haters. Australia have improved a lot over the last year. Beating South Africa was a top result because they are probably the best all round team in the world.

I see a lot of bore draws though. The bowling on either side isn't very good and England seem to front load with batsmen.

England played well yesterday, albeit in slog cricket.

Wow. Pakistan were brilliant today. It wasn't even a South African semi-final choke.
