I was shocked when I first heard but it does have a certain inevitability to it when you think about it. He was probably the biggest star since Elvis, and he's died in similar fashion. All those pills take their toll in the end. Sunday's Top 40 will probably be forty Michael Jackson songs.

His death was probably the only thing left he could shock us with. Even with all his bizarre personal life, you can tell already that this will probably be the biggest showbiz death since John Lennon. The man was and always will be a legend.

I think this is the sad end result of him not being comfortable in his own skin.

his wealth put him in a situation that made him think he could change it physically rather than mentally and the multiple surgerys unfortuatly lead to a bunch of health problems,complications and an addiction to drugs/painkillers that lead up to this. cause 50 isnt that old.

Shocking news! He was part of my childhood. This is the probably the most shocking celeb death since Princess Di. R.I.P. Michael.

Sadly it seems that it´s true, but just imagine if it all turns in a fake move to promote his big tour comeback...now resurrected as in 'Thriller'!...it would be the best and biggest promotional move in the history!!!

But sadly it seems that it isn't...
