The question when watching old clips and then her transformation is: how much is Lady Gaga really inspired by Stefani Germanotta? What's really her own input? There's Redone composing all her biggest hits, her stylist intenionally copying Madonna, her old manager who claims he was the mastermind... Now she's just continuing with the winning formula they created together, and it's getting boring. I have zero excitement for her new album.

She's gotten really stale. SNL did a skit this past weekend, a "Lady Gaga Talk Show", and it was the most painfully unfunny, dated thing. Not a laff to be had, in part because no one cares anymore.
Which is a shame: five years ago, she really was electrifying on SNL with her performances, (in part just piano and voice) as well as appearing skits like geting into a hair-pulling catfight with (the real) Madonna. Great episode, she was superhot, the new thing.
Now, I don't know what to make of her. Auntie Elton (in an open post about Miley Cyrus) said that Gaga was the godmother of his first son, but he hasn't been able to get in touch with her for months. He may have been exagggerating, but who doesn't return Elton John's phone calls? Don't know what's up with her.

The track listing for ARTPOP is really cringeworthy:
1. AURA
2. VENUS
3. G.U.Y.
4. SEXXX DREAMS
5. JEWELS N' DRUGS
6. MANiCURE
7. DO WHAT U WANT
8. ARTPOP
9. SWINE
10. DONATELLA
11. FASHION!
12. MARY JANE HOLLAND
13. DOPE
14. GYPSY
15. APPLAUSE

Sorry to say, but she's past her "use-by" date! I thought she was great & exciting back in 2008 when she first hit the scene with Just dance. But now, I feel she's copying other people's ideas too much, she's become boring.

Gee, I wonder what "DONATELLA" is about.
Versace was vulgar even when it was happening. Though I loved the "Bondage Barbies" ad campaign in the early 90's, with all the hot models. I can't imagine who actually wore those clothes, though.

Controversial opinion: My favourite album this year is not Electric but David Bowie's The Next Day.

Our boys own electric had some great moments, but there so much more on offer on Artpop for me, and I find it all more electric to.
There's so many tracks i love on this album Aura,Venus,G.U.Y,Sexxx Dreams,Artpop,Swine,Fashion!,Gypsy & Applause, can't remember last time i liked so many of a album.
never was a big fan of her last 2 albums, but i love this.
It also feels weird loving a album that all the kids are playing this week,

must be over 20 years when that happened last.

watching this I kinda admire her how she rised above and made it so far. go to any major city USA and there are a ton of these kooky artsy alternative type chicks with their piano and howling singing style and sex appeal. I think she looks smokin here. you just know shes hot in bed with that rockin little italian body.
