Note that I said for most of 200 days. And if he was quite fat, he would not be dead.
Why is it always indians or pacific islanders who claim such things, or say they are 154 years old. You can't pull that kind of thing in America any more what with modernity.

Most of 200 days or whatever, he would be dead. At best, seriously ill. Don't care if he's the fattest bastard ever, he would be in serious trouble. Infact, it might be harder for a fat bloke because his body would crave for his pie and chips even more.FirthofForth wrote:Note that I said for most of 200 days. Not if he changed his eating habits first. I'm still fat, but don't crave fast food whatsoever anymore.Infact, it might be harder for a fat bloke because his body would crave for his pie and chips even more.

Re: Fasting
I never understood food cravings. Deprivation isn't hard for me, but I have a fast metabolism so I suppose its a mindset. Since I'm sort of able to eat two bags of chips in one sitting with no weight gain, I don't have to. Does that make sense? Because I'm not thinking about it much 'ooh, I wish I could, but I shouldn't.' Sort of building up the idea of food in your mind, turning it into a crutch.
That said, bad food does more than just put on weight. So I am mindful about what I put into my body. Why should I let my taste buds determine my health? Just need some control. I haven't been to a fast food joint in over 3 or so years, and its easier and easier as time passes. Just eliminate it as an option in your mind.

Pie and Chips was an example. He would still need feeding. you can eat the healthiest foods going but it wont make much difference if the food on your plate is that high that it's poking through the roof, or you are eating 3 or 4 meals a day.FirthofForth wrote:Not if he changed his eating habits first. Re: Fasting
a friend of mine who is freakin huge is getting that gastric bypass surgery which according to him makes his stomach smaller and he physically wont be able to eat as much anymore.
we all went out for his last supper as it were to the texas roadhouse steakjoint for ribs and steaks as he said he will be practically on baby food for awhile after the surgery as I guess there is a recovery period and he wont be eating anywhere near what he used to.
I once watch this dude pound down a 40 ounce steak with mashed potatos, string beans and bread and ask for the dessert menu.I'm going to miss that guy.

Re: Fasting
That's not a helpful attitude. When I first lost weight in my "big diet" of 2002-2003 (210 pounds lost), my friends created some aura about my eating that seemed to say "Don't change; we love you fat!" But not love like, we love you how you are, love like, you're a curiosity, and that's interesting, so don't change it. A 40 oz steak with the fixings isn't that much if it's quality meat. It's when they bring out some Grade D sh$t that makes that a difficult task.I once watch this dude pound down a 40 ounce steak with mashed potatos, string beans and bread and ask for the dessert menu.I'm going to miss that guy.
Yeah, I think some people just don't have much of an issue with cravings (and some people just don't enjoy Eminem too). Eating two bags of chips in a sitting (assuming small bags) wouldn't lead to weight gain if you are active and eat well the rest of the time. The body seems to have a range of calories that it can maintain at. As someone who has gained and lost much weight over many years, I can say it's when you go over that calorie range for an extended period that the weight comes on.I never understood food cravings.

For me, food has nothing, or had, nothing to do with building up guilt in my mind and turning it into a crutch. Though I've certainly eaten to much because I'm bored, or I feel depressed and food almost always tastes good. Sometimes it's between that and masturbation, not to sound crass, that's just a point I've gotten to. When nothing else feels good, when you have no bit of joy in your life, but a burger does at least sound slightly good, guess what? You're going to overeat.
I wish my taste buds did determine health, in that, I wish they liked Broccoli and not donuts. I do agree with eliminating some things as opinions. When I go to the store, I only buy low far or semi-low fat food. I never buy a box of cookies or even crackers I think I may binge on. Sometimes things get a bit bland, but some things as simple as pico de gallo can be extremely tasty for minimal calories. I do eat out, but generally no more than once or twice a month, at sit down, not fast food, and I think that's reasonable.
Control can be difficult for people with various life issues though. What I find amazing is the people who get to the point that they can't get out of bed. I've gotten to 420 once and then back up to 440 once, and around there my quality of life starts getting effected. Yeah, I can move fine, but I don't fit in chairs fine, and I don't feel good about myself. It's obvious a change has to be made. Some people don't make it until they are 800 though.

Re: Fasting
According to an article I read in the New Scientist recently it's possible to survive for over a year on just water and vitamin supplements...
We are star stuff which has taken its destiny into its own hands. The loom of time and space works the most astonishing transformations of matter. We are a way for the universe to know itself.

Re: Fasting
That's an abnormal situation, but not an impossible one. I imagine this kind of thing happens often (though perhaps without a surrogate having a baby) and just isn't reported. Dad's don't have sex with their daughters because of total and complete societal taboo (of course, that taboo is often broken behind closed doors, as an estimated 1 in 5 girls have had sexual relations with a father or other male relative).

Re: Fasting
Nope, the whole country. Of course brothers are a big part of that percentage. Though US society looks at child sexuality in horrorific extreme moral panic, the fact is experimentation happens at a young age for many, sometimes with family members, sometimes not.
