spooky wrote:the new album is alright. really disappointed that Paul H. doesn't sing lead on a few tracks as i was looking forward to that. wish they would do a small U.S. tour, but i wouldn't be surprised if that doesn't happen.
I believe there will be another album in the not too distant future if I read correctly on the official OMD boards. Would hope that Paul will be featured a bit more on that one.
Supposedly a US tour is in the works for 2011.

You should probably read this interview...
http://www.electricity-club.co.uk/html/ ... uskey.html
It genuinely made me angry! Who the f**k does Andy McCluskey think he is?! I know the interviewers at the Electricity Club can be brown nosers, but they should have just told him to shut up about half way through!
Here are some choice quotes from the tail end. I really wish I'd taken them out of context...
The problem for me with Ralf Hütter is he's distilled his concept of KRAFTWERK to the point where it's like distilled water, it has no taste.
Oh, so it's OK for you as a fan to say things like that, but not for your fans to say things like that about you?
And I'm sorry, I think that anything less than 4 out of 5 stars is b*llocks.
Eh? What? Huh?
I would die for KRAFTWERK to do something as good as I believe History Of Modern is.
Completely speechless.

I agree with Andy that the last Kraftwerk album,
Tour de France Soundtrack, was really boring! I'm also totally uninterested in a new "Kraftwerk" (Hütter) album if it's going in a similar direction.
It would have been interesting if the interviewer had asked him why Paul didn't sing any song on their comeback album. He said that they are "a band" after all...

I find it a lot better than the stupid Sister Mary Says one.

I was going to enter the competition, but didn't have the time or relevant persons to do so. I probably will make a video for it though, but only for my showreel/portfolio and not on the internet or anything.
I'll be downloading the single this week, hopefully some PSB fans can get in on the game as well, try and get History of Modern up in the charts!

What is the point in these chart campaigns?

Well, it just would be nice to show other young people that the best bands are still going strong.
But in my opinion, History of Modern (Part 1) is a much better song than Together so should chart higher than it.

Well... good luck in your campaign in getting an OMD single higher in the charts than no. 58.
I'm sure it will all be worth the effort.

"It was directed and produced by Lapantafilm from
Sweden."
Yeah, my fantastic country fellows have made it again!

+ I read in my local paper the other day, that these guys are even from my hometown!
Even more amazing!
But to be honest, except for the obvious record covers I don't notice any OMD references that there are said to be... What about all those lamps ("Electricity"?), dolls, earth globes and Volvos?
