Anyone ever lied on a CV to get a job? Ive been out of work for a wee while but am back at uni doin an MA just now part time. Feel like making up an elaborate cv to see where it gets me....

along with Labour paying back their paymasters and the hinging of the economy on the basis of false economies and accumulating debt written against artificially high property values. But still of course it is all the fault of the bankers (who are equally to blame) who were embraced by Brown who was vehemently against against strong banking regulation. It worked for that bloke on The Apprentice who did pterodactyl impressions. To be honest I think most people get jobs through bullshitting. What's a job interview but a complete load of utter phony toss?

Ah, so true ;) But thats precisely the reason i'm planning to get into investment banking. I feel i can be a part of the change :)

I've dragged this one back up because since i made the first post i decided to stay and see if things would change. I made my cv and had it at the ready in case there was no improvement. But recently things started to get a lot better at work and now i have been taken on there permanently as of today! I do feel a lot happier and stable now :dance:

Some companies employ professional CV checkers now. I know someone who works for the company below. They even check overseas entries on CVs.
