Have you discovered "The songs of distant earth" yet? It's still amazing, even after 16 years.

I have so far only heard Track 2 Let there be Light. One thing about his albums is that they are very long, one does require a lot of time on their hands to discover them all. By the end of next week I should have heard all of that album.

It's Oldfield's first album after my birth (Feb 1993) so should interest me more!

It's his best album IMO with its continous flow, the way it builds up and ends in a huge climax that is beyond comparison, you wont find anything like it musicwise. The best songs are on the second half of the album.
