Yep, looks that way but at least it is all polite. Anyway looking forward to Wonderland and the Circus reissue's, great idea to release the live show's on DVD with the cd's and is a nice release. Next for Chorus and I say I say I say hopefully.

Still no news about the new album so looks like a September release at the earliest I suppose.

Thought they might have played some new stuff at that festival thingy.

For those interested, tonight was the highly anticipated "Short Circuit" Festival at the Roundhouse in London -- a gathering of many of MUTE RECORDS' legendary electronic acts over the past several decades and the headliners were YAZOO (the final ever appearance of Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke together), ERASURE and one track from THE ASSEMBLY (Vince's brief project before starting ERASURE). Here's the set-list:

Erasure fans are quite overwrought, aren't they? Here's one of them commenting upon one of the songs performed at the recent gig (they weren't there in person, btw)

"Lord... my eyes have welled with tears. Proof that their songwriting will last far into the future. A great song is a great song, and we are fans of the greatest pop songwriters ever."

This is what the poster(s) were talking about. Four minutes of sheer earache. I'd rather my spleen burst than listen to this again. Apparently, the 'festival' was a disaster in terms of quality. The majority who went only had decent things to say about Erasure and Yazoo. Everything else was rubbish and they charged up to £100 a ticket. no wonder there were loads left. Would have been much better if they got the full Depeche Mode line up to play. Erasures set list looks very good

Well, it's like this: When you've won a Brit award, written a song for Shirley Bassey, had a top five album, gone on a sell out tour and written the music for a new ballet at Sadler's Wells then taking part on an ITV1 reality TV show is really only the next logical step. The step after that is an extra in Hollyoaks. It's all so obvious, don't you see!
