Yes, I would. In my view, union leaders have no business on boards of directors, for example, where they "earn" directors' fees. They go native far too often and give those who would question unions' right to even exist the ammunition they need to further undermine what few rights workers still have. There are few things more corrosive to the often genuine cases of ordinary workers than the perception of "champagne socialist" union leaders on multiples of the average industrial wage (e.g., Bob Crow, £130,000 a year between salary and expenses, self-appointed "communist/socialist" - riiiiiight, Bob....). Given the hostile press they invariably face, and the absolute necessity to win the hearts and minds of the public, they need to be like Caesar's wife - above suspicion.

I agree there's been a complete overreaction, but for him to say "the rest of us have to work" is an utter joke. He oesn't have to work for the rest of his life. He can sit on is overpaid backside in his mansion, entertaining the Chipping Norton set for the rest of his natural. He is nothing more than a corporate - consumer interface for confused post-industrial masculinity.
