Never been there myself but someone just asked the same question on the DT forum and got these recommendations:

Drais for afterhours in the Barbury Coast Hotel, across from Casaers. The music out there isnt that great....Id check out Tabu lounge in the MGM grand, saw rivera there last year, guess I was lucky.

Check out the pool at Hard Rock, usually good beats and pretty people. Also check out Rain @ the Palms...if you get lucky, again, the music wont be too cheesey....

As far as where to eat...my picks....Ni9ne steakhouse at the Palms, Portafino in the Venetian, Craftsteak, Auerole, Aqua (bellagio), Nobu...all terrific.

There is a Showboat amusement chain in the USA? I went there when they had the Killer Instinct & Tekken 3 arcade machines in!
