Re: spEE - Reproduced is out now on iTunes!
Didn't Neil and Chris give West End girls explicit permission to cover it? I sort of remember them "giving" it to them?
And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'
"He couldn't have fell off that hard" Ain't no way
"What happened to the way you was rappin' when you was scandalous
That Canibus turned into a television evangelist"
Plus he raps with his regular voice [BOOSH! BOOSH!]
[BOOSH! BOOSH!] (What was that?) Pet Shop Boys

As far as I know, West End Girls got permission to do Little Black Dress.speee wrote:Do you remember Little Black Dress?
The West End Girls made a cover of it and it was a single for them too.
This song was available on a bootleg cd and never saw the light of the day.
Officially it never existed.
All things to all men is in a better situation. it was available on the OS some years ago.
As long as it's been recorded (registered to a royalty collection agency) you can cover it. Doesn't matter if it's a demo or not.

I believe you're wrong on this. Songwriters/publishers will often ship around demos to several acts for them to consider recording. Whoever DOES end up recording it typically pays a fee to be the first to record a song. They can't just record any demo they get without permission. I'm fairly sure about this. Our song "Black Widow" was once to be recorded by another danish artist and since ours was only a demo (not an official release) we were entitled to negotiate a fee - the other danish artist couldn't just record it without our permission.
But let's hope that PSB don't mind about your cover.

You know, updating the sound of old PSB songs is something I had been thinking would be interesting, and you've done it perfectly! The songs you chose are absolutely the correct ones.

Hey Speee... can you find out the postage to Australia for me? The website is confusing me!
Maybe it's just the lack of sleep last night on my part... nocturnalism shouldn't just involve being awake at night, it should involve sleeping during the day too! Alas...

This topic was for the Collector section or just Off Topic it's not a PSB topic but related to a fan release.

Hi retrofuturist,
unfortunately I don't handle orders of my cd. It's up to my label.
I think you can ask them directly from the pre-order form.
Thanks.

I forgot to say how great 'All Things to All Men' is! Good dubstep, and the chorus is perfect. And I like the accordion part on 'In Denial'. (I could go on...)

bought it! excellent stuff. good luck with your music. you're talented
Re: spEE - Reproduced phisycal CD release pre-order
Firstly, if anywhere it should be in 'For sale / wanted'.speee wrote:Why moved? It's a psb cover album!
Secondly, it retains a link in the PSB section.
Thirdly, it is covers, not PSB, so is not strictly 'on topic'.
Thanks.
