Although I don't believe in the most favourites of things..., let's see:

rats - cute, clever and appreciate attention
raven - beautiful and black, and can be tamed, somehow find it a very intreguing bird
penguin - aren't they just dead funny? and ever seen how bloody fast they are in the water??

Tiger - For supreme strength and power
Dog - because they are a man's best friend (I've had 2 lasting at least 15 years each)
Crane - for reflexes and balance
