Never understood this EP business. All PSB singles these days have 3 tracks - Memory of the Future had 4, which makes them all EPs really.

I do not really like "Party In The Blitz". I find "Through You" better than "Loneliness".

I really like ' through you'. As someone else said, feels like the relation of Decide. Which is no bad thing 8/10
Party in the blitz. Ok 7/10
As for Loneliness
I keep on singing 'searching for a face of Jesus' and 'one way street'. It's ok. Right now Ok is good 7/10.

That's the benefit of being pethead. We get EPs from all singles. An album's worth of material from all the b-sides + all the mixes. It's been like this since 1986. Remember Suburbia?Tom Angel wrote: Thu 01 Feb 2024, 1:13 pm Never understood this EP business. All PSB singles these days have 3 tracks - Memory of the Future had 4, which makes them all EPs really.

Is PITB one of Neil’s lockdown tracks he made on GarageBand? I like it but it’s certainly an oddity.

Through you is just crying to be turned into a 4 on the floor club track. Personally I think they should’ve gone all out and released it as a single. Something completely different from what the public would’ve expected from them.

Through You is amazing. I like it better than Loneliness (which I love).

Party in the blitz is far better than you lot have been suggesting. I real like Neil's vocal and although it could have done with a Chris Lowe list rap it's pretty classic PSB b-side.
It's not as good as an Open mind or Decide, but they were top drawer album tracks that should have been on Hotspot.

"Through You" is one of their finest B Sides, it also reminds me of "Decide", both are fabulous, "Party In The Blitz" is ok, nothing really special, I always feel with the Pet Shop Boys, good b sides on singles usually means an excellent album.

I wonder if "Through you" is a track from "Naked"? After all, they first dropped "No boundaries" a track from "My Beautiful Launderette" as a b-side to the "Dreamland" single.
Re: This thread is to talk about the b-sides of Loneliness
Is Through You their longest b-side?

Love ‘Through You’. The section from 5:38 is lovely. The track builds nicely and feels short for seven minutes. Probably my favourite B-side after ‘Decide’.

Yes. Some Speculation is 6:35. Through you is 7:02
