I listen quite a lot of Haydn music these days (the Haydn 2032 project is stunning!), but I can't tell how far it is on the spectrum.

What I don't listen to at all is folk music (except for occasional music in French). Bob Dylan is pretty much the (unlistenable) opposite for me.

My jazz interest started very young thanks to an uncle playing Oscar Peterson. Joni Mitchell's late 70's albums reignited an interest. Got more Miles than PSB I'd estimate, runs into treble figures. But Fairport Convention, Led Zeppelin, tons of Northern Soul, Aretha, Lee Fields, Elbow, Radiohead, Steely Dan, Van Morrison (almost everything) - very eclectic tastes. Hate pretty much anything in today's streaming charts though.

Oh yes, Steely Dan is another good one in my CD collection.

I have so many albums that are the complete opposite to PSB so I’ll just say all my albums by Foo Fighters, Muse, Marilyn Manson, Bruce Springsteen and Pink Floyd.

I often go back to my roots and listen to Icelandic pop/rock. also sometimes classical music - the calming kind.

But I do appreciate great country western - Icelandic country western always reminds me of home and driving through the nature and see the Icelandic farm lands and drive pass pick-up and monster trucks all the time (54-inch tires and 22-inches of ground clearance is a start)

p.s we have 100% renewable energy and so far world’s largest plant designed to suck planet-heating pollution out of the atmosphere like a giant vacuum. So we are allowed alite fun...

Currently playing Kates The Dreaming album from 1982 and Kaleidoscope World from SoS 1989. I loved their little tribute to West End Girls a few years back when they recorded a jazzy smooth instrumental version.

I’ve been into Frank Zappa ever since I listened to the You Can’t Do That on Stage Anymore Vol.1. some twenty years ago.

Although tbh I don't really feel Prodigy is that far removed from PSB - it's just a bit hardcore.

Overall my taste is very PSB; Depeche Mode, Human League, New Order etc. etc., but sometimes I listen to Smashing Pumpkins.

I like stuff like Aphex Twin, Boards Of Canada, Autechre, Mu-Ziq.

I had a metal era when I was young. Iron Maiden's 7th Son album was pretty good.

I've got loads of military band CDs No, really.
My non-PSB go-tos are quite often Norwegian. Listening to Vamp right now. Lillebjørn Nilsen and especially Odd Børretzen are also favourites. There are definately similarities between these and PSB though, great lyrics being maybe the most obvious. The military bands don't tend to do lyrics, but have great brass playing.
