Ironic, posting that video and then talking about propaganda.

I have to agree with Chris Lowe, Pet Shop Boys fans are really disappointing.

I must admit this kind of statetement is a bit embarrassing. But I try to ignore it as that's not the first time they behave like 20 years old activists.
eh.

Uh oh, the bootlickers are here to tell us how we are the sheeple. The Boys were on the right side of history approx. 95% of the time, and I find no ill will against this. Still haven't pressed "play" though.

They care about the world they live in and don't like authoritarians or fascists, no.

True
Anyone that doesn’t think Putin is a dictator, should have their head examined !

It's certainly a nice tune but I'm getting really bored with this over simplistic preaching. The situation with Russia, Ukraine, NATO and the West is complex and we are only getting one side in the mainstream news. No one is doubting Putin's a knob but ignoring the West's role and the relentless expansion of NATO regardless of previous promises, helps no one.

Some of you have problems with an anti-Putin song? Really?

Yes, really, Because some of us are interested in something else than corny calling for global peace and justice. It doesn't work like that. I need PSB as artists, not activists. This is just my perception and you can be in opposition to my view, but this is worrying to see some comments here. Do you really believe that I don't know who is Putin?

The world is more complicated than some logic behind such statements.
You know what I like? I'm with stupid which is a political-inspired song, but the narrative and the way they put it is hilarious. That's all I need.

Worrying times. Some of the replies to this! A song marking the anniversary of a state assignation of someone who stood up to be counted… and you want to berate artists for not keeping quiet? For being too direct? Have a hard think… art should not be contained, limited or silenced.

Chiming in to agree with this and the other voices of sanity here. Some of the views on this forum are depressing. Comparing von der Leyen to Putin - f***ing hell...

It shouldn't. I've just expressed my wish that PSB could invest their times and skills in something more meaningful in GENERAL CONTEXT. This song is terrible as a piece of art. This is what interests me. I prefer strong European army on the border of Poland to PSB dull music. The second thing won't protect me. This is how I see it perfectly knowing that I don't have a power to silent them. And I don't need to. They records what they want. They have their own sensitivity in this respect. Ok, but to me its shit. The curtain drops.
Am I clear enough? Can we finish it?

I don't think anyone has a problem with AN anti-Putin song but we don't want too many.
It wouldn't be so bad if they wrote a song about Netanyahu or Israel's genocide of Gazans but they won't because Israel's our monster and that would be the end of their career.

hear, hear! I agree with this
This is the same regime that illegally invaded Crimea in 2014 and shot down a Dutch passenger plane in the process, then launched the current invasion in 2022, used Polonium in London to poison Litvenenko, used Novichok in Salisbury, jail or kill any opposition or groups they don't like.....the list is endless
