Re: A new album in 2028, do you think it's too much or are you ok with it?

I just hope they both stay healthy, and if we get new songs , brilliant, but let them do it at their pace , they owe us nothing,
I like to think of it as home...

And that's all there is to it for me. If they want to take years to make an album, that's fine with me. If they choose to only release singles in future, that's fine with me. If they want to play live to 50 people in a pub in Newcastle, or 250000 people in a stadium in the Prague, that's fine with me.we're doing it because we want to do it
One thing is accumulating songs from beginning of life to the first 5 years of your mainstream career, another thing is a late career album.Nickname wrote: Fri 17 Apr 2026, 11:17 amThey did Please, Actually, Introspective and Behaviour in almost 5 years. I know they had some demos from Bobby "O" period but they also did a huge promotion over these years. This poll comes across as a little entitled.Depeche had a 6 year gap between the last two and it was very very worth it, better something proper than half-cooked.
Yeah, I always forget that I'm not supposed to engage with polls that offer options a) rock or b) hard place.Morse wrote: Fri 17 Apr 2026, 12:41 pmDamn. Erm, this is not strictly true, we have paid a lot of money for their work. Sometimes, even when we had no many reasons to do that (ex: the never ending list of compilations for singles, b-sides, etc).
If they get 250000 people in a stadium wherever it takes place, that's fine with the whole community.Spittingcat wrote: Fri 17 Apr 2026, 3:33 pm If they want to play live to 50 people in a pub in Newcastle, or 250000 people in a stadium in the Prague, that's fine with me.
