Mind you, thats two more than the Pet Shop Boys.
Well, she has written the best pop record of the 00's so far (Can't Get You Out Of My Head) and a string of really good songs such as Toxic, Sweet Dreasm My L.A-Ex, S Club Juniors' One Step Closer and New Direction amd Will Young's Leave Right Now. Also, she has been very, very influential as far as pop writing goes, with a lot of writers copying her style.
She was the songwriter of "wannabe" (Spice Girls).

Back to the topic please! If you want to talk about Cathy Dennis, you can create other topic.

About Danny, the problem is the money. He is well-paid, I suppose. But it would be so great if PSB did something with him.

Are you sure she wrote Leave Right Now? I thought it was someone else, can't recall who. If she did, all credit to her.

I agree that 'Can't get you out of my head' is the best pop song of the naughties to date, but I think that has as much to do with the production (if not more) than the lyrics themselves.

Toxic is obviously brilliant, but I can take or leave the other tracks

If you plant a seed of thought, and people then run with it - well, thats what discussion boards are all about.

We don't have to stick to any topic, as long as its all vaugely PSB related. But, as an aside, I don't see the point of them working with him. I just don't see the artistic compatibility.

It seems she didn't write Leave Right Now, I was only quoting Acelera. But let's face it, you'd only rate her then because you fancy Will :P

Anyway, Can't Get You Out Of My Head, she wrote the music and her demo of the track is more or less identical to the finished version, so the production is all down the Cathy, really. Story goes, they spent ages trying to come up with a proper version then they realised Cathy's demo couldn't be improved so the final version is just a polished version of what she had done on one Korg synth.
Does cameos only.

eh? She wrote the B-side? Not the song?

I'm a bit confused.

edit: oh, I see - get it now. Confusion over.

I think the b'side of the 2-track single was a live recording of one of the Cathy-pened tracks from Will's first album, for which Cathy wrote 5-6 tracks for.
Does cameos only.
