Some people are beyond help when it comes to 'getting' these things.

I'm in favour of a compulsory IQ test before people are allowed to start posting. Mind you, 80% of the board would be banned outright, falling as they do into the 'not the sharpest tools in the box' category.

Chris doesn't make an opinion on Coldplay in the article, has anyone actually read it!!!

Sorry, I didn't realise you had posted such a suggestion before. I actually thought I was being original.

Do bear in mind that I'm still *comparatively* new. Many posts have washed under the bridge without my prior knowledge.

Oh, I've been trying to get the mods to add a new rule, similar to one of the rules at PopJustice, that posts can be deleted for being stupid or for not adding anything to the discussion and that people can be banned for being useless, for ages.

I have noticed a mildly disturbing trend on this forum;

Interesting threads with good debates have a nasty tendancy of getting locked, wheras regular posters (who shall remain nameless) who spam every topic with mindless drivel, and can barely string a sentance together, are left free to bore the rest of us to tears.

Education doesn't necessarily translate into intelligence or interesting posts on an internet discussion board although obviously, it would help certain people out of their apparent problematic grasp of logic, sense and rhetorics.

I haven't posted my IQ either, and neither should anyone care - the point I am making, is that certain people post endless drivel which adds nothing to a conversation or debate. And yet, often, when a conversation gets interesting, it just gets locked. I would rather see dull, pointless posts removed myself, than interesting ones locked.

Oh, and *anyone* can do masters degree if they are willing to take a year out their life and pay for it. So, I'm pleased you're not bragging about it.

To do a masters you need a degree or equivalent, can anyone do a degree?? I know that some would argue yes in this day and age but not EVERYONE. Not everything you post adds something to the argument, there's only so far you can go with a bit of criticism and bitchiness.
