For christmas I got these books: Andrew Marr's History of Modern Britain (from second ww to the present day), a book all about Lenin, Stalin and Hitler and Al Murray's new hardback book 'Think Yourself British'.

I'm reading an amusing book by Wigald Boning, a German comedian (well
known in German TV), it's called 'In Rio steht ein Hofbräuhaus'. It's about
his travelling in foreign countries ...

Currently reading, among about 14 other books, The End Of Science. Worth a look into if epistomological questions concern you as much as they concern me.

I am currently reading "My Name is Red" by Orhan Pamuk. A very well written historical crime novel, slightly reminisent of Umberto Eco (though not quite as good). I hear "Snow" is very good as well...
