Re: The Chart Thread
So why have the radio have all of a sudden ignored Depeche Mode, i wonder?
'Wrong' isn't their greatest moment but it isn't bad.

Re: The Chart Thread
Its a little strange that seemingly no one spun Wrong. Its not that radio unfriendly (and is actually rather good), A big name like DM getting so little airplay!? Sack the
A&R man.
I haven't heard the rest of the album so perhaps some of our own forum experts who have can suggest what would've been a better single choice?

Dunno, it might stay there. Album sales were very low last week, it might have already done enough to stay at number 1. Will it be their first ever number 1, including singles?

No, as 'Songs Of Faith And Devotion' and 'Ultra' reached #1 in April '93 and April '97 respectively.Undertaker wrote:Will it be their first ever number 1, including singles?

Cheers.
Lets hope this holds on as well. Especially as there is still an ignoranance towards Electronica music. Although DM are more rock anyway.
My mums actually has it and had it on earlier but what i heard, still sounds a bit weak to me. I'm sure it's a grower though.

Re: The Chart Thread
N-Dubz are probably going to be number one on Sunday in the singles chart. If anybody wanted proof of how alien the singles chart is to the likes of PSB and Depeche now, this is it.
Without doubt, the most moronic, chavtastic, ugly, ASBO-heavy, inarticulate bunch of f*cktards to have ever topped the chart.
[including those two birds who covered ABBA in the nineties]

Re: The Chart Thread
They'll be lucky to hang on to #1. If I remember correctly Yes was about 5000 ahead Lady Gaga on Wednesday and she ended up overtaking them. Interesting that the sales numbers for DM are about the same as PSB at the same point in the midweeks i.e. roughly 18000.Undertaker wrote:Depeche Mode are 5,300 units ahead of GaGa, with sales of 18,900.
But it feels like the flight
Of the von Trapps, does that mean it's war?
