Same here. A New Bohemia is the same order for me so hopefully I'll soon have all 4 CD maxis. But I'm prepared it will take a while and maybe get stuck at customs. All those whi voted yes to Brexit were stupid. You know who you are.ChrisLove wrote: Tue 24 Sep 2024, 8:34 pm Today my single has shipped can't wait to hear german version of Schlager. Re: New Single 'Feel'
While the Chris version of Schlager is labeled a “demo” I suspect that perhaps this wasn’t truly a demo at all but rather Chris thinking it might be fun to go back and reimagine this song. Can anyone think of a previous occasion where a PSB song was first attempted as both Neil and Chris versions during the writing process?
Re: New Single 'Feel'
I'm thinking (or maybe hoping is more the word) that the Chris version of Schlager is different to the demo on the expanded edition. The song is so German-centric, so maybe there was an idea to see if it would work with a German vocal, and Chris gave it a stab? The results are marvelous I think, but the album version with Neil is a bit more polished and a better fit for the album overall.
When Chris sings on a track I get the impression he has had more input lyrically on those tracks (and I think there's evidence to support that) so maybe Chris' lyrical input was greater than usual with Schlager too.
Time will tell - what did they say about it in Annually? Was there any mention of what Chris' input was into this song?

"Gesundheit to Europa" sounds like a Chris lyric.Gabby wrote: Thu 26 Sep 2024, 8:54 pm I'm thinking (or maybe hoping is more the word) that the Chris version of Schlager is different to the demo on the expanded edition. His pronunciation on the "demo" isn't perfect but it's not bad either which leads me to believe he's actually learned some of the language and perhaps can speak it a little bit. Perhaps A1-A2.

Re: New Single 'Feel'
That’s a rhetorical question. Expect a fifth single to support the Nonetheless Expanded Edition in November.

That pretty much should confirm it then that the demo on the expanded edition will be Neil's original English lyric. Three versions of Schlager! Not bad!
As to the fifth single - well, I guess Adrenaline as a single would end up shifting more copies of the Expanded edition album perhaps, but my money is still on a jingle bells version of Schlager - you can't mention Christmas that many times in a song and then not use it at Christmas, surely?

Re: New Single 'Feel'
A question that is baffling as I file into my FLAC music library - with regards to the text:
on the album - The Schlager Hit Parade
on the single - Schlager-Hitparade (Deutsches Demo)
Was it intentional to drop 'The' and hypen it and also to one word it? I know they did one word for the artist name on the album.

Presumably it’s a German translation of the title?Electronic Dave wrote:A question that is baffling as I file into my FLAC music library - with regards to the text:
