Re: Saved by Jesus!

It's miracle, cliché as it may sound

No, it's simply you having some problems then learning more about the Bible, and believing in it. No miracle.
Did I make this happen by some inner abilities I didn't know I posessed?
Ummmm. I to have had dark times, severe depression. I came out of it through: Daily maintence, good hygene, being around people more, working on my OCD, making short term and long term goals. Learning to recognize triggers and warning signs and poor thinking. Inner abilities, as well as outside input, yes, that is what it is.
Has evolution provided us with god as a survival strategy?
Who knows. But do realize that some of us don't believe even when we try.
I'd have to draw the conclusion god is real, the bible is the doorway to him, and might just live forever as long as I stay on this road, and don't let go.
God is real, and the Bible is the answer because you have seen results. For you then, fine. For others, completely different answers work. You can't discount that. Some people live great lives as non-believers. Some live great lives beliving in wicca, or paganism. Some live hard lives living off the land and doing nothing else even though they believe. Could it be that there are just some ways of you living and interacting with society that work best for you, and they happen to largely conincide with what you think the teachings of the Bible are? Just remember, even helping poor people sometimes backfires. Sometimes they need to help themselves. I am no Ayn Rand though.
And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'

Absolutely agree.

Oh well, if you ever change your mind you know...but I'm not gonna to pray for you or anything silly like that. :)
