Imagine being charged over a hundred quid for a restricted view though?! Feckin' mental.

The "mosh pit" is where the orchestra usually is for opera performances; they have transformed this into a dance area. The "front row" is behind that area. I think the ROH website flags those first 2 rows as restricted view for opera performances, but if the Inner Sanctum shows are anything to go by, they are not, in fact, restricted view for concert. They are just up close.

I always end up behind the tallest person in the concert … without fail

Hence front row elevated seats for me

I was considering buying tickets but with all the faffing around this morning, I couldn't be bothered, particularly as I have seen them there a couple of times and seen the Dreamworld tour too. Yes, there will be a few changes but for that price point (and taking the missus, a non-Pethead), I couldn't really justify it. It'll obviously be a great show though.

Billy wrote: Wed 14 Feb 2024, 11:54 am First time seeing them since 229 Great Portland Street (by far the smallest venue I've ever seen them in) in 2019! So the Dreamworld tour will be completely new for me, and it's been 14 years since I last saw anything in the Royal Opera House which will be a nice treat.

I went for one of the £40 seats which aren't too restricted compared to the really silly ones highest up, can't really afford more than that and there's no way I'm paying anywhere near £250. I paid just over £30 for arena standing at the O2 in 2009 and £38.20 for the Royal Albert Hall in 2017 in fantastic seats, so I am genuinely quite surprised how well this has done as I thought those prices would scare everyone off. It took irritatingly long to get through this morning along with everyone else but happy at least I got something!
Hello Billy, I think you are my colleague!

The 'mosh pit' is the orchestra pit, people within it won't obstruct the view of the front row at all. Source: I was in that pit for the 2016 inner sanctum concerts.

Well, I thought that was dead easy. Booked and paid for a ticket for the Wednesday performance in 1 minute 45 seconds.
I logged on at about 1pm - straight through and booked.

Had the same thing. Armed with a few codes, I set my husband up to buy one night, me another. He was in a queue apparently by the time I'd bought mine. I refreshed and bought the second night while he was still in a supposed queue. System makes no sense but I checked a few hours later out of curiosity and once the panic died out there were loads of tickets

Thanks for the info...when i phoned the ROH the woman said restricted view (this was the front row)...i thought, what?!,how?!,possibly because these are seats but no one does sit when the boys come on...i'll wait until friday now.

How was the stage view from the pit? I was in a box last time which had great view but no atmosphere.

Not that I got a ticket for the mosh this morning anyway but maybe Friday!
