Is it the opinion of those here that Better The Devil You Know is the best thing Kylie's done? Kind of akin to PSB IT's A Sin?

I would think "....Out of My Head". It's pretty amazing. "Devil" fits the early nineties very well, though. It's very good. Whenever she does it differently, though, it kind of sucks.

not the best, but its among her top 5 surely. Also its a song, she's covered in various styles..like this for instance

I think Confide in Me is her best song..the only one I actually like/listen to actually. I dunno why people go mad over her. Her 80's stuff is a bit cheap.

I understand the appeal, but for me she's like Madonna, there is just something that does not hold my attention over a long period. Madonna's singing was very poor in the early days. Better The Devil sounds like a PSB song though, I love it. It must be a pettibone production or someone like that right?

from her 80s SAW era, What do I have to do, is her best song IMO. Devil comes a close second.

90s Kylie was truly her experimental phase, not always with great commercial results. Like her Impossible Princess album. Its almost quite unbelivable that it is a kylie album ! sadly it flopped big time and she ran back into her pop/dance roots in the 00s

"Better the Devil" was still SAW (they did the production for her first two albums, too, which was very SAW sounding....they got a little bit more hip here.

I think I have times where I'm into Kylie, but her albums (with the exception of "Fever" and "Body Language") are often unsatisfying. Even though Madonna has had a few bombs recently (from the perspective of this listener....not as sellers), I still prefer her and I'm always there to pick up the latest release.

Hard to believe she's 42 in a few weeks, she is still hugely f*ckable.

I also think "Confide In Me" is her best song. Great song! But unlike you I like more songs by her.

Actually, I heard Better the Devil You Know on the radio and it was catchy, the music reminded me of Very a bit..still doesnt top Confide in Me though.

Amazing

Listening to "All The Lovers" for the first time as I type this. Like the burbling synths. Was hoping this one would be like "I Believe in You".. but a bit of a let-down. Kylie has her moments, songs of exalted disco heaven. This isn't it. But she tries. Is it okay to love Kylie, but also realize that often she's the princess of Eurodisco mediocrity? I suspect it's "yes". We still love her.

Stuart Price seems to be producing everyones album atm which makes them all a bit same-y. It's an alright song though, but not outstanding.

I think so too - very 'Left To My Own Devices' to my ears.
