To be fair, Gareth, the issue here isn't whether Techno should share the promo in terms of MP3 files. I actually don’t think he should. It’s the fact that for some strange reason he is trying to give the impression he has the album, when unless Neil or Chris have handed him one personally, he clearly hasn't. His point of going on and on about 'Release' demos and 'PopArt' CDR's, when this is quite obviously not what anybody cares about, only emphasizes what people are questioning.

the most likely sources for a leak are going to be someone in Parlophones hierarchy or, and I think is the most likely option, someone involved in the production of these CDRs', lets face it N and C aren't gonna be burning copies themselves, so they themselves are not the only people capable of distributing copies.

Sorry for being a bit honest but, with you, it's like talking to a brick wall. I'm not going to repeat myself again.

As a senior for the club, I teach the art to students below my level. At easter, I will have to do bare-hand & barefoot & jumping barefoot destruction on 2" thick wooden boards. Hopefully this will give you an idea on what I teach. I don't get paid for it.

You are forgiven.

I personally don't have any means to doubt him - maybe you know something I don't. All I do know is that he has an impressive collection and the fact remains that with a comparatively short time before the album's release that copies get burned and distributed. Having worked in the god awful music biz for 5 years myself I know how many CD's (tapes when I started!) end up floating around with differing running orders etc. I just don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility.
Anyway, my main issue with some of this thread is the attitude of those people acting as if they have a god given right to force someone to make an item from their collection available and then getting sh*tty when it doesn't happen.

I don't think that's true at all. The debate here is whether or not TTM has the promo or not - in a wider sense: Does anyone except completely trustworthy people close to Neil and Chris have it? All evidence points to the contrary which is why it is interesting: If he really has it, it would tell us a lot about the policies of PSB and Parlophone, and the possible timeline for a wider promo distribution.
Since I have seen nothing to suggest that he does have it, except his own claims which anyone could make, really, I choose to believe the other indications we have that this album has not been leaked to anyone outside the very close inner circle. If TTM cares about this (which he obviously does since he continues to argue why it's possible for him to have it), it is very easy for him to prove it without leaking anything significant: Record a 2 second snippet of the music, quote a line from a song or just take a picture of the CD.

well that's going to be difficult as he wishes his 'copy' to remain sealed

I don't understand what "all the evidence that points to the contrary is"? Has anyone
officially stated how many copies of the album currently exist and where they have been distributed to?
My point is that TTM may have a copy, maybe he hasn't? Regardless, I see no reason for people to start complaining that an item in someone's collection has not been made instantly available. It smacks of jealousy and an all too frequent sense of desperation that seems to have overcome some members here recently. No one here OWES anyone else an explanation for anything and if I had a copy in my hands right now (which unfortunately I don't by the way!) I wouldn't tell anyone a thing about where it came from. Never reveal your sources!

Who's complained that the item hasn't been made instantly available? Techno shouldn't make it available, I've said that all along.

Can't you just wait until the album comes out? That's quite a nerve-wracking discussion!

Just out of interest, if the album is complete and available for review, why do we have to wait a sodding 4 months to get it?
