On looking at the tracklisting again, it is a GREAT compilation. It just feels a bit pointless considering I've already spend my cash on ALL of these mixes (except Integral or course). I will definitely be buying this of course as I am a completist, and an album of Neil burping and Chris farting is better than Disco 2.
(Now my fanw*nk suggestion)
Why not incldue a second CD with accapellas from Fundamental so fans can make their own remix album. We've seen some amazing versions of Home and Dry and Minimal mixed by those who love the boys and are loyal to the song format. Not one Superchumbo among them.
Or maybe even an album of instrumentals of PSB hits so we can have our own karaoke in the car or whatever.

Although I'm not a fan of "I'm With Stupid", I think the PSB mix is the best one.

I agree that it would be better to include Blur, Liza etc. Maybe they had originally planned a 2 CD set and that's why the price on the internet sites was so high but then changed their minds.

I think Integral as a single would be far much better than the short load of bollox this D4 is! I don't think I even want to buy this CD. Let's hope the suggested tracklist is for the promo copies and not for the actual release!

Yes, it is. I wish they had done another remix of a different track instead of using that. Horrible!

I'm becoming less enthusiastic tbh. I'll get it when it's cheap rather than straight away.

More information on the Integral video from the official Parlophone Press release posted on the OS:

"The video will feature new technology which will enable the viewer to take a picture of a special 3D bar code on the video, which will then transfer the participant to a wide selection of websites relevant to the subject matter of the track. In this way, the subject matter of the song – originally written as a protest against the proposed introduction of ID cards and the gradual erosion of personal freedom taking place in the current political climate – can become the starting point for a wider exploration of the topic through a variety of other forums."

Pretty interesting. I wonder if they will use the original album mix or an edit of the Perfect Immaculate mix for the video.

Well I think "Disco 4" will be a disaster. Not a good beginnig for their new contract with EMI.................
We're concerned, you're a threat. You are NOT INTEGRAL to the project...

For what it's worth, here is my opinion on Disco 4.

As far as compilations go, it can be summed up as a collection of some of the best PSB production (of mainly other artists) work over the last 5 years. This alone makes it more of a worthwhile compilation than even PopArt was for diehard Petheads (on PopArt, we already had the tracks which we all knew like the back of our hands). At least Disco 4 provides a new outpost for these remixes which, judging from what others are saying, sound like they all fit reasonably well together as a package - Plus, we won't have heard these tracks a million times (unlike PopArt).

I for one never got round to downloading the 'I'm with Stupid' (PSB Maxi extended version), and so for me that also will be new.

Overall, I'm looking forward to this release.

It's a shame not more people have good things to say about Disco 4

We already got Disco 4 with Fundamentalism .

The new Disco 4 is boring and a bad start of a new contract. Even die-hard fans are pissed...

Most people have had a chance to see them in the past 12 months, many more than once. And if you didn't then you could buy Cubism - with a choice of covers subject to your own personal preference.

If they read comments like yours they must wonder why they bother.
Just checking -- you ARE aware they get paid for this?

Not that I want to single you out but people are becoming far too hysterical about this release. Whatever happens, Disco 4 won't be a disaster. It's only a stop-gap release and EMI won't have any expectations for it commercially. Disco 3, despite its much more favourable tracklisting, sold terribly and the forthcoming collection wouldn't fare any better even if it did have some unreleased tracks. That's just the way it is. Unless it's a brand new studio album even a sizeable proportion of the fanbase aren't interested.

Don't get me wrong, I'm as disappointed as most people on here about the album. However, let's brush it aside. Nobody is being forced to buy Disco 4. And let's not panic about what it means for the future. The time to do that is when a new studio album arrives, it gets panned by critics and fans alike, the lead single fails to make the top 20 and the album bombs as well despite heavy promotion. Hopefully that time will never come.

Yes, some of the reactions have bordered on the absurd. I've stated that this particular release isn't for me, but then nor was their musical, realistically you can't expect to like everything they put out. The fact is it doesn't stop me from anticipating their next release or project and nor should it stop anyone else.

Its a niche album with niche appeal and will perform as such and thats something I'm sure PSB and EMI already recognise. It won't be a top 10 album but nor do I expect it to be a disaster either.

I thought this is the kind of thing a band does when they hate a label yet owe them another CD and so they sort of just compile....somethin just to fullfill the contract so they can find another label.

but seems as though they just started with a new label so I dont know what to think.
