, he has taken down the avatar of the troll and the Gary Gliiter one he had up (why would anyone want a gary glitter avatar)?

Dave you spelt Glitter wrong
ly the first time and correct
ly the second time, but well done for trying.

Spelt correctly first time as I did not mix adjectives with adverbs.

Just seen the 'artwork' for the new hits compilation. It's f*cking hideous. Someone got paid for that. It looks like the front cover of a teen magazine. I like to see some effort gone into the covers. This is a load of writing splashed onto a bit of paper. It will stand out, for sure but whatever happened to putting out a decent cover?

Listen to yourselves. Jeez, can you lot give it a bloody rest? You've all more than made your points. There's a new PSB album scheduled for March 23 - see the main forum - and you guys are here like a bunch of bored fishwives tut-tutting Erasure artwork as if it were somehow possible Andy Bell could be involved with something classy?
Move on.
Drico.

I actually quite like it as it follows the same theme as the first Pop! release. It's a great follow-up concept. That old artwork certainly didn't affect the great sales of the first Pop! compilation.
Creative in an artistic way? Not really, but it's made to look like one of those hits compilations with different artists on it (such as the Now series). The design is certainly more of a marketing success than an artistic one.
Once again, however, Erasure are definitely not known to be strong in the video/sleeve department. They, fortunately, come from a school of thought where what matters most is what's on the inside. Selling 15 million albums whilst being on an indie label (for the majority of that) and with videos and sleeves that are not ideal by any stretch, is quite an accomplishment.
...and before I forget, "thank you" to the two members here for posting the album covers. That is more promo for Erasure than PSB getting an award.

Total Pop! deluxe looks like some sort of Red Bull energy drink. I imagine it would be extremely sweet and have a strong flavour for the first few gulps then become increasingly sickly the nearer you got to the end of the bottle.

...and flat
I wont be buying it anyway. No need to when it's available for free. Absolutely no interest in disc 2 at all, apart from Always.
Posting the cover on here is hardly going to promote it. I doubt theres anyone on here who doesn't know about it after the past few weeks. If they can't shift cd's by advertising inbetween Coronation Street and publishing tabloid ads, it's hardly going to go platinum from the photo's above.
This isn't an attack on Erasure before anyone throws a tantrum but i just find it cheap. This is what i mean by 'Lazy' There just isn't much effort put in IMO. If you are going to keep spawning these hits packages, at least make it presentable. Something to actually collect. A boxed release would have been ideal.

It almost seems like they're marketing it as an "upgrade" for people who already own Pop!.

Which probably says it all
Seriously though, these 40 songs need to be mixed up. Not just saying it because it's PSB but they had ther perfect idea with PopArt.
Most people already have the first 20 and most people wont care about cd 2. So mixing them cannot hurt.
