There are some interesting stastical figures but Paninaro number one in France?
What's the source for all this? All
very unlikely to say the least

Thanks. Not a very reliable source it seems, though. Many positions are wrong as well (e.g. New York City boy was #16 here in Germany and not #20 and "Home and dry" was #12 and not #23 to name only two examples). Also, Pet Shop Boys haven't been successful in France in ages, there is simply no way "Minimal" was #1 there. Not even close. Only if it was in some minor chart (dance chart or whatever) but definitely not in the actual French charts.

Absolute garbage, having lived in France for 9 years I can tell you that those facts are complete and utter nonsense, don't believe stupid web sites basically. The only PSB related song to get to number one was I'm not scared by Eighth Wonder. West end girls didn't even get to number one in France. Always on my mind was a pretty big top 10 hit too but that's about it.

Hmm... not sure where you got these, but I think they're largely wrong. I've got:
- Sweden: Suburbia #6, What Have I Done to Deserve This #2, So Hard #3, Being Boring #16, Flamboyant #44
- France: Can You Forgive Her - don't know. Go West was #2 though. Flamboyant #81. Not sure about I'm with Stupid, Minimal or DJ Culture, but I don't think they ever had anything anywhere near as successful as Go West. I'd say it was very unlikely that Paninaro was a hit there, as I don't think it was released
- New Zealand: Heart #1
- Ireland: What Have I Done to Deserve This #1, Heart #1
- Belgium has two charts, so it's always a bit confusing when you're talking about hits there
- Poland: no idea
KROQ is an LA-based radio station.
Edit: just saw the other responses... oh well...

No official singles chart....and never was. But there is a very popular and famous chart compiled by listeners of Radio 3 (exists from 1983)
http://www.lp3.pl/alpt.phtml?m=12&w=389 (number of chart, number of weeks, number of weeks in top 30, peak, and three last colums of points statistics) - here you can find PSB entries. Unfortunately, their recent music didn't chart ;( "Winner" and "Levcing" were both on the voting list, but eventually failed, probably because of lack of airplay. On the other hand "Leaving" was a big hit in so called web- and blogosphere (for example number 2 on mycharts.pl general chart).

The thing is "Always on my mind" got the top and it was there some weeks before "Together Forever" by Rick Astley was #1 three weeks and after that, "Always on my mind" returned to #1 again.

This album should have a kind of spell over people. People ditch PopArt or Ultimate but constantly for the sake of Discography. The same is true for Amazon US. Discography is a constant seller there.
