It's only taken you a handful of posts this time to run out of debate and resort to your little digs

Chart rigging? One person sending out singles as gifts or for people even in the same country where there is no product is chart rigging? Wow. Talk about goal-posts being moved.Undertaker wrote:Pretty difficult to prove something that was deletedpulse wrote: Could I get some viewable proof of this? You have clearly admitted to chart rigging for your number 33 smash hits.
It's only taken you a handful of posts this time to run out of debate and resort to your little digs. Obviously still not got over the hammering you took in the Erasure thread
I took a hammering on an Erasure thread? I suggest you look down and realise that you're not wearing any clothes. You take a beating on every forum I see you on, on a monthly basis by me or others. Of what we can read of your grammar, you tend to spew out the same sentence in various different arrangements every single time, then make up stories about someone being hammered, then insult them personally/physically, then regurgitate the latest chart stats as though they somehow prove anything in art.
You've had the floor here wiped with yourself so many times that you're starting to love the feeling. Just think of it as your very own demented version of Stockholm Syndrome. In fact, I've never seen someone randomly bring up my name so often as you and Patrick Bateman. I love it. I don't even think of you or your name until I see one of your posts, but you obviously live and breathe me, as I come here once every little while and notice I've been mentioned again.

LOL. First it was 200 units, then it became fewer and fewer as you realised what you had admitted to, and now only ONE person was involved. Someone take away this guy's spades before he digs himself into oblivion. You have admitted to chart rigging and now you are trying to get out of it by suggesting 1 person sent a few items to folk in the same Country. I think notpulse wrote: Chart rigging? Oh yes. And a few more topics, too. Backtracking your statements again when you were caught out. All over the 'Love etc' thread, thinking it was going to flop when it appeared at 20 in the midweeks. The embarressing tantrum about the dire sales of Pop 2nd 20 'hits' When i had to correct you.pulse wrote: I took a hammering on an Erasure thread?
Once again, insults about grammar. Give it a rest. You always cast the first stone, however it appears that myself and others haven't resorted to retalliating for some time. Keep it up, it's another example of the last ditch resorts you go to when in a hole. You are like a little kid. Very funny seeing the tantrums but they do get repetitive and tiresome. Crikey, if i ever threw an insult your way without being insulted first, i think you might combust.pulse wrote: Of what we can read of your grammar, you tend to spew out the same sentence in various different arrangements every single time, then make up stories about someone being hammered, then insult them personally/physically, then regurgitate the latest chart stats as though they somehow prove anything in art.

Michael Jackson sold 300,000 singles and albums in 2 days. On one hand it's impressive but on the other, it's pretty pathetic that people go out and buy all this stuff because he's died. Fair enough it was new material but i don't understand the mentality. ''Oh, listen to my i-pod, i've got Jacko on it. I've been a huge fan for 48 hours''

Be fair. He was a fairly obscure artist, and it may be the first time people have heard of him.Undertaker wrote:Michael Jackson sold 300,000 singles and albums in 2 days. Some people are ghoulish bandwagon-hoppers who for some unfathomable reason seem to think that they are part of a shared cultural experience when they dutifully buy the records of a dead celebrity simply because he's croaked.pulse wrote:Some people have been shocked by his death and have remembered that they liked his music again.
It's negative because it's the very definition of mindless herd behaviour. It's negative because it is a commentary on the state of a materialistic society ridiculously obsessed with some guy who used to be able to dance and shift Pepsi twenty years ago. Finally, it's negative because this whole money-making charade plays right into the grasping hands of corporatist record companies and assorted hangers-on who will milk this faux grief for all it is worth (regardless of the varying degrees of culpability some of these profiteers had in the death of their golden goose). Why is that so difficult to comprehend, and why is it such a negative thing. I think it's pretty pathetic not being able to grasp this.

You do realise that this mindless herd behaviour is the precise design that labels aspire to, don't you? They are the same minds behind the ones that promote PSB et al. Humans are all very interesting creatures. I don't find it confusing at all that an artist who sold so many millions of albums (perhaps mostly in cassette format) is now achieving upgrade-format sales of CD and digital.Drico One wrote:Some people are ghoulish bandwagon-hoppers who for some unfathomable reason seem to think that they are part of a shared cultural experience when they dutifully buy the records of a dead celebrity simply because he's croaked.pulse wrote:Some people have been shocked by his death and have remembered that they liked his music again.

The worst is yet to come, though. This innocuous boost in sales will undoubtedly look angelic in comparison to the evil corporate shadow creep that will unfurl in the coming weeks/months. You call it a death of a golden goose, but the golden egg it just laid will be far more "golden."

MJ has 13 singles in the top 40 midweeks, including Man In The Mirror at number 1 and also 3 of the top 5 albums and a another 3 just outside.
Re: The Chart Thread
Obviously, given that I referred to that in my previous post. That is why all of this Jackson hysteria is negative. The more lemmings there are, or "interesting creatures" as you might prefer to call them, the easier it is for the parasitical record companies, promoters, and assorted hangers-on to profit from a death that many of them contributed to.pulse wrote: You do realise that this mindless herd behaviour is the precise design that labels aspire to, don't you?
Nobody else finds it confusing either, but some of us find it nauseating for the very reason outlined above. They are the same minds behind the ones that promote PSB et al. Yeah. On the upside, that means more outings for my personal brand of invective. The worst is yet to come, though. This innocuous boost in sales will undoubtedly look angelic in comparison to the evil corporate shadow creep that will unfurl in the coming weeks/months.
Which makes the mindless behaviour of the lemmings all the more objectionable. You call it a death of a golden goose, but the golden egg it just laid will be far more "golden."

Jacko could miss out on both number ones this week.
Why is it 'Man In The mirror' thats currently number 1 in the midweeks? There are loads better and more popular tracks than that.

It was his personal favourite track. I'd imagine a lot of the people buying it are the hardcore Jacko fanatics rather than casual music fans. They make the likes of psb-freak seem like small fry, and could even teach s t e p h a n o a thing or two about buying multiple copies of a release.Undertaker wrote:Why is it 'Man In The mirror' thats currently number 1 in the midweeks? That's interesting. One needs to look no further than this board if one wishes to find multiple-copy purchasers.Patrick Bateman wrote:and could even teach s t e p h a n o a thing or two about buying multiple copies of a release.
