(ETA the caveat...this also may have been in one of the several radio segments I've listened to in the past few days, I have had very little sleep).

And the bit about the crowd in Leeds generally being a bit extra 😉

What?? They met Obama at a club in Chicago?? 😲

See caveat, I may have completely missheard or imagined that bit, I'm terribly sleep deprived.

There was also a part in the discussion about a club in Liverpool with great music (Jody's?) where Chris said 'the gays were upstairs and the punks were downstairs', Neil wondered what happened in the middle!

Earlier in the afternoon, there were two women who thought they were just in a queue to get in to see inside the library and had no idea about the event, which was quite funny.

I can't remember which club it was - whether Liverpool or London - but it was the first time Chris had heard West End Girls on the dancefloor, and he was so embarrassed/nervous that he'd be recognised that he hid in the toilets.

One lady asked a question about, did they realise how much people were touched by their music, in the context of, her mother passing during the first lockdown in 2020, not being able to hold her hand and she listened to Fundamental, which helped her get through it. She had to pause a couple of times.

We were asked to turn phones off and in the main, while there were a few cheeky snaps, people seemed respectful. Chris did his 'no photos!' thing at the end but they did stand for a while and people did take pics.

Also I have a question...a lady started remonstrating with either a staff member or the people at the very top of the queue and said staff member ushered her away...does anyone know what that was all about?

Lots of folks stopped and asked us what we were queuing for and wished us well, and a lovely couple from Atlanta who were in town and were trying really hard to get tickets. I'm not sure if they did but we did point them to here.

I thought this might come up. The girl was me. My mum died over lockdown and when hugs etc were off the menu. I couldn’t be with her when she died. Even though I’m old enough to remember PSB back in the day - their music only hit me when I was at a point of deep grief and longing in 2020. I suppose it was a thank you really for having their music help me and I wanted to know if they really appreciated how much their music meant to me and possibly others. They did, Neil spoke briefly but fondly of his parents and said grief is a meaningful part of their own musical journey. He got emotional and I saw a wonderful warmth from him. A couple of others came up to me and said similar, how their music has helped in their own private journeys..

I can’t help but not get emotional when talking about PSB, being feet away well it just compounded it, especially with A New Bohemia still ringing in my ears…

Also I’m an idiot and forgot that gorgeous nonetheless inspired ticket needed for entry - crash records were brilliant at sorting over emails etc but I did have to get someone to cut it into many pieces at home and send me a photo to forward on. I was probably still crying over that

Thanks for the info, Vintage Youth 😎

And I’m very sorry about your mom passing, New_Love…yes, the boys do mean so much to us. I can understand how powerful the music can be, and meeting them is even better.

You guys are very lucky. ♥️

I'm sorry about your loss. I got emotional just reading about your experience. I'm glad you had the chance to ask them your question :)
Something similar happened to me and listening to their music has helped me get through many difficult times, especially in the recent years.
Hope PSB music plays forever.

Thank you for your comments. Was an incredibly emotional evening. I’ve wanted to say my own personal thank you to the boys since listening to Fundamental in 2020, to be able to have, and just feet away from them, I think the emotions were bound to kick in! What I also love is meeting fans who resonate and I can hear their own passion when talking about PSB, lovely to witness. Cot3 thinking of you, I’m glad the music was there for you during your own difficult time. It can be a great healer and comfort can’t it.
