Michael Jackson has 4 out the the top 5 albums in the midweeks. He is number 3 in the singles but has nowhere near as many singles in the chart this week. Although it looks like his sales are improving again quite rapidly, due to his service earlier in the week.

Has Uri arranged a charity single yet? I was surprised that he didn't appear at the memorial service, though it was probably a bit too black power for the spoon-bender.

I think Sky will be lining something up on one of those chav channels in the morning. Get your broken watches and clocks at the ready.

I find Geller entertaining in an odd sort of way. He is quite unique in every sense. An oddball that actually takes things way too seriously but probably believes what he's doing. I'd certainly go see him if he did a tour, just for the fun of it.

Great news for A-Ha. Foot of the mountain is a new entry at number 5. It was number 2 for part of the week, then number 3 on Friday but dropped a bit. Still a great achievement though. Their highest charting album since 1988.

This must give hope to bands like Erasure to have another success in the album chart after years of struggling. It goes to show that if you produce a good album, people will buy it and that's whats happened with A-Ha.

Morten didn't have the distraction of a burgeoning career in bread though.

Delighted to see a-ha do so well. It's their best album in a long time!

A-Ha sold 18,744 copies.

Too bad the single hasn't done very well, up from 81 to 66 this week. But as a digital-only release I figured it would miss the top 75 so at least it got in the chart. These veteran acts really need a physical cd release to have any chance at all of a decent chart showing. On the sales, Analogue opened with around 9900 sales so this is a nice opening week improvement.

Funny that Masterton praises this entry even though it surely won't last any longer in the charts than Yes, the #4 entry of which was scoffed at due to the fact it wasn't going to last more than a month in the top 75.
