Re: Israeli air strikes

#271 Post by scheiner »

Although I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing, I do feel I need to say how things are from my end (yes, I am from Israel).

We are all sorry for the people who died today, but let put things straight and point to some facts that you may not see in CNN or BBC:

When the crafts came to the territorial water of Israel, they were asked to change the route to another port, where the content of the ships will be examine and then be transferred to Gaza (it must be inspected in order to make sure it does not contain weapon). The response was "f*** you! f*** you! Ghihad! Ghihad!". At this point, the force had no choice but to come over the ship, in order to make sure it won't get near the strip.

As soon as the first soldier stepped on the ship, he was bitten to nearly death (using knifes and rackets) and so all the rest of the soldiers. only then, they opened fire. I wonder why these peace activist had such a big amount of weapons in the first place.

Also, before and during the convoy started the route, they were asked many times to respect the Israeli law and regulation and let the Israeli force to examine their goods and transfer it to Gaza strip. Obviously, all these requests were ignored and clearly the people on the ships were just looking for provocations and PR.

Again, it is very sad that people died today but the situation here is very complicated. I know that the Israeli navy did it best in order to end it the other way. Israel has the right to protect its border.

I highly recommend all the people here, who lives peacefully wherever they are (and I'm happy for that) to think again before they use strong words like murder and such. We all know that the press can twist facts and things are not always the way the seams.

of course.

when you have humanitarian aid workers attacking soldiers reppeling down from a helicopter, its pretty obvious we arent dealing with your adverage peaceful aid worker with thir heart in the right place.

square off with soldiers with guns, your a combatant.
thankfully there is video and these oddly media savy types who spin their anti-israeli sob storys in front of the camra wont be getting far with their poor ole mercy mission angle.

They didn't reach the territorial water of Israel, the incident occurred in international waters.

Attacking a Turkish-flagged ship on the high seas is an act of war. That boat is Turkish territory and Israeli soldiers had no business boarding it.

Turkey is a member of NATO, so Israel is going to get some shit flung its way, and rightly so, it has badly overstepped the mark here.

nah. this will vanish quickly. nobody cares about the palestinians.

israel and egypt have a blockade on Gaza. if those "humanitarians" were truly concerned about getting aid to the palestinians they would have done what other humanitarian aid shipments do.
they know Hamas getting weapons smuggled in is no joke to the Israeli ,just allow themselves to get inspected at the port, and be on their way to help those people.

but these clearly were a bunch of crazy hostile people who apparently dont have the smarts to know you dont attack soldiers with weapons coming down from a helicopter.now dead people and no aid to palestinians.

too bad.

Just a small correction: the content of the ships will be inspected and hopefully will be forwarded to the Gaza strip.
btw - here is a small picture where you can see some of the 'humanitarian supply' that was found on the ship:

There are several issues running consecutively in the press here.

1. In 2006 Israel launched a war into Lebanon. They began by shelling a UN observer
outpost commanded by an Australian woman officer. The UN frantically signalled the Israeli
army for two days, but this was ignored. Her time as commander ended but Israel shelled the outpost
for another day before dropping a laser guided bomb from a plane. The entire UN outpost was
destroyed and everyone was killed. This was without doubt no accident and deliberately done
as Israel's hatred of the UN is well known.

2. Last month Mossad carried out an assassination on a Hammas official in Dubai. To do this
they used the passports of other countries including Australia, UK, and I think Germany and Ireland.
This puts at risk our citizens when they travel abroad, is totally illegal, and says Israel does not
give a shit about these countries. They never use US passports.

3. Israel blocks aid from getting into Gaza. We have seen film of this. At the meeting point, Israel
dumps the food (on palettes) in the sun and leaves it to go off. They shoot at the Palestinians
waiting to get the food, so it deliberately spoils in the sun. When permitted the Palestinians get
to the food but for example eggs are all smashed and fish gave gone off. Israel has blocked fresh
fruit and vegetables getting to Palestinians for decades as a way of causing illness so Palestinians
will leave their homes. Israel deliberately destroyed food facilities in Gaza during the recent
invasion. The BBC documented a chicken facility where tens of thousands of live chickens had
been bull-dozed. In nearby houses Israeli soldiers had smeared the walls of Palestinian homes
with insults written in faeces. Israel deliberately destroyed houses in Gaza and blocks building
materials from being let through as aid.

4. To get food, medicine an building materials into Gaza, this convoy was organised to get through
Israel's sea blockade. Yesterday Israel launched a military strike against this international aid convoy,
which was unarmed, and in international waters. Witnesses on the ships say the Israelis landed firing
their weapons. There were Australian reporters on the ships that cannot be contacted.

This is high seas piracy and terrorism. It is not to stop weapons : the strategy is to deny food and building materials to the Gazan's.
Genocide : "any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life, calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; [and] forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."
1948 United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (CPPCG).
Israel is a rogue state totally disregarding international law. This has been going on for decades and the whole
world knows about it. It is utter madness to think that this is some how helping Israel.

Guilt turned to hatred moves on to genocide.
Genocide is genocide ; there are no shades of grey.
That Israel of all countries has come to this, while the world can do nothing, is so sad.

What's actually needed is even more weapons and about 2000 miles of high impenetrable wall around them both ... leave them alone with no outside contact and let them blow the crap out of each other .... after all, it's what they know best, and they obviously both enjoy it otherwise they'd have stopped by now ....

Both sides are as bad as one another, and no amount of talking and negotiations for peace will ever work, so why not let Darwinian law (oh the irony ... ) dictate the outcome and leave the rest of the world to go about it's daily business.

I'll remember that next time it happens to me. Women should also allow men to rape them without fighting back, and it's free season for any burglars who want to enter my house in the middle of the night. Must. Not. Resist.

Here you can see a short footage of what happened on the ship. Look at the youTube video embedded in the page:

alot more news is coming out now also on the "aid mission". the lead ship had an AL jazzera crew on it.

they should refuse the inquiry. Israel knows those who want an investigation are simply asking for the investigation as a form of propaganda against Israel. they should investigate the body bags filled with the losers from turkey and print signs for the next flotilla that say " top 10 things not to do when being boarded by Israel".
