Thanks! I was confused by the catalogue number.

But both lead tracks are on CD1. CD2 only contains remixes.
I'm also confused.

Sure, but the lead tracks of each CD are NLB and ATYD (albeit in its remixed form) respectively. I think they're just using track 1 to define what each CD is, perhaps a little lazily.

The two singles arrived here in the Netherlands (along with the Feel CD single because PostNL lost the package along the way the last time, grmbl...).

All the young nudes … 😂
Another boring video of young naked (or seminaked) boys.
I have to say I'm with Nickname on this one. A lost opportunity for the PSB. I'd wished for a story video, perhaps of N&C coming to London back in the day etc. The question I asked myself the other day was "are PSB lecherous?" I certainly know that I dislike when rock bands consisting of old geezers have young half naked women in their videos. The same goes for this. "Your ballroom days are over", as the The Doors say. At this time in their career, I would expect something more dignified, but then again I'm a sucker for Pink Floyd. And from there I draw a conclusion that there certainly is a difference between the album artworks (arty) and their video artworks (sex, allusions to sex and young bodies). A discrepancy I can't quite grasp. Is this necessary to stay relevant?

I prefer videos like Twenty something, which tells a story while staying beautiful. I don't think the arty sexual stuff is interesting or useful. I don't see the point of it indeed.

(no tracking available yet, please try back tomorrow or contact the seller directly)
At https://www.trackyourparcel.eu I now got a DHL tracking number (LY.....DE) which you can enter at the postnl website(!) because PostNL will be the one delivering the package: https://jouw.postnl.nl/track-and-trace. This will be available in a couple of days, when PostNL gets the package.
Now at customs, handed over from DHL to PostNL. Hopefully no custom fees and double VAT otherwise I have to get a refund for the third time from the OS.

The Twenty something video was great - told a story different in tone to the song lyrics, but still followed the "script" so to speak - a genius (re)imagining of the lyric.

A New Bohemia was nicely done - in line with something like Being Boring, and I guess you might expect something in the same vein for New London Boy. A missed opportunity and couldn't you have done an amazing "double video" with Dudes as well to really flesh out a storyline? In my minds eye it's all there!

The Richard X long mix of ATYD sounds to me what I would like to call an album version. The remix is quite true to the original mix but I'd say it's better.

Today i got my two singles i can say that yes All the young dudes (Richard X edit) is the best remix and that ending is that Bowie playing ? the singles from Nonetheless were amazing and worth collecting.

Thats a pretty bad video, actually kind of surprisingly bad.

I dont know about lecherous but it does seem like were like oh f*** a script, the song clearly says "young dudes" in the title, we have our pretext lets use it.

but hey, I suspect at their ages chances like that dont come around that often so if they had fun making it good for them.
but its pretty corny to put that out as an official video.

IMO they have always seemed out of step with whats in. I dont think they are being tongue in cheek, I literally think they think people actually are totally into it. Neil probably tears up watching it.

Right, so I've been wracking my brain as to why one line in All The Young Dudes was triggering an unpleasant repressed memory.

Because 'speed jive, don't wanna stay alive, when you're 25' was used in one of the famously disturbing Northern Ireland road safety television adverts.
Generations of young people have been absolutely traumatised by the use of popular songs to illustrate incredibly grisly scenes.

I'm not linking it, but anyone interested can look at 'DOE PSA advert reel ( 1992 - 2016 )' on YouTube. The line from All The Young Dudes can be heard at 1 minute 11 seconds.

Thanks Retro 😃 I’m waiting for my 2 CD’s of ATYD Which was due to release on 15th November. I got an email from Fan merch to say they didn’t expect stock until probably end of November. I haven’t heard anything further. What are you waiting for?
