I don't believe age has anything to do with succes. It's just the way of expressing themselves and their music. Look at the Rolling Stones, Depeche Mode, U2, Madonna... are they youngsters?

I'd love it if they were popular again. It's difficult for people to answer "Really?" with a sneer when they discover I like the PSBs, when they are dominating the charts.

It's been 18 years this year since the PSBs have had a number 1 UK single. Is there no justice in this world?

I'm not sure why you put Depeche Mode in that list, they are about as popular as the PSBs. Or even less.

I hope you are right! As for the 'Lifetime achievement' I think I read somewhere recently that it 'might' go to Paul Weller......but I hope it's PSB of course

Oh yeah, Weller has been around a couple of years more.

But they should consider giving it to PSB.

Depeche mode are doing two gigs for a 20,000 audience in Barcelona. Tha has never happened with psb, here.

In sweden DM are 4 times bigger than PSB now. 15 years ago DM was 1½ times bigger.... am I right swedes?

The Pets have allegedly turned down the Brits Lifetime Achievement award previously. Paul Weller will be getting it this year - it is always announced in advance of the ceremony.

none of the above appeal to a "mainstream" audience(17-30) they all have there fanbase and apeal to a "adult comtemporary" audience... all except Madonna.. who's shaking her ass off to stay fresh with da youngster...

NOT that it matters much...but I actually quoted the bit 'inside' the box here. It was psb-freak who quoted the last bit. Oh well....not that it matters much

DM never fail to miss a top5 hit with the new single from the previous couple of albums. PSB struggle to make top20! DM are much much much much bigger than PSB in just about every country. DM still get top10 hits in the USA, PSB haven't since 1987.

For me it doesn't matter if they will be populair again or not. My only hope is to enjoy PSB-concerts and new PSB-releases still many many years.

And DM ? I like them but they are too big for me. I don't like concerts with over 5000 people.

PSB-fans will never leave them. And I WAS a DM-fan and I don't know why but I drop out them.
