2. The Resurrectionist (Extended Mix)
Note, the extended mix of a b-side

Not that uncommon, not at least previously =) - the boys have released a lot of remixes of their b-sides earlier so....

I hope track 4 is the Maxi mix.
No, I wont because I can hear the original version of The Ressurectionist on the CD and then listen to the extended version

Nice covers. They remind me the Actually era.

Single or Radio mix
Girls dont's cry
Ressurextionist
PSB maximix
Melnyk mix
Max Tundra mix
Abe Duque mix
wouldn't be chart eligible, at least in the UK
All the more reason to release it, then. The chart means nothing any more. If PSBs can only grab the attention of the music press by crashing into the top 10 of the singles chart rather than through the power of their music, then it's a damning indictment of the media rather than of the band. Why fleece their remaining and dwindling band of fellow-travellers while still failing to make a serious impression on the chart?
An eight-track maxi CD containing the single, the two b-sides, and five mixes would have been ideal from a fan perspective. If downloads are so important these days - and we're constantly told that they comprise the majority of single sales - then let the downloads look after the chart position. In the meantime, let the rest of us pick up a nice handy maxi CD to keep the flame burning. After all, the record companies are forever complaining when people prefer to download without subsequently buying the discs. Now that some of us want to buy the discs, they decide to fleece us for their own greasy ends.
While it is absolutely correct to argue (as some over-sensitive corporate trough-porker no doubt will) that nobody has to buy every format release, some of us would like to have the b-sides on CD. That's hardly an unreasonable request from a genuine fan. Instead, Parlophone are deliberately going the exploitative route in spreading three new songs (forgetting the mixes for a moment) over three formats. While some of us don't need too much excuse to moan about the PSBs and their record company, they don't make it very difficult for us at the best of times with this kind of racket.

Why do I agree with almost everything you say Drico?

On recordstore section of official site. probably already mentioned but hey.
I don't think the tracklisting is right. Amazon.co.uk has the following tracklisting for the CD single:
1. I'm With Stupid
2. Resurrectionist
3. Girls Don't Cry
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI ... 08-9786867
So the single might not have only two tracks afterall. I guess we'll just have to wait for the confirmation on the official site's news section...
