Because I like Very over the others (personal feeling), but I know that at least, one or two from that phase are better.
And because I like to say "Imperial (whatever)" :)

I agree that I won't be able to assess this album relative to the others for sometime. I don't have a fixed order of psb album preference anyway, other than the fact that Behaviour always tops my list.

My gut instinct? Today, this album slots into third place behind Behaviour and Actually.

Well, it's a fact that it's better than Release, Bilingual, Nightlife and even Please. This album only can be compared with Actually, Introspective, Behaviour and Very.

who made it factual for god sake everyone has there own dont they!

Wow,someone who has almost exactly the same tastes as me. Bilingual and Please are my favourite PSB albums and I find Very and Introspective terribly over-rated.

I love it !!!!

for me the best is behaviour and after, very, bilingual ... etc
does etc.. means that ALL other PSB albums come before Fundamental which would therefore mean that, to you, it's their worst? :?

I think they probably did start out to make that minimal electronic CD.

I just think the early types of song they happened to come up with didnt suit that less is more genre so they were sort of forced to go another route.

I mean, I for one cant imagine something as big as luna park/S&G show/integral being done without an orchestra.

Well, I just tried to listen to Nighlife last night...after Radiophonic, it once more started to make me feel numb and in the middle of the New York City Boy, I was just thinking about shit

day by day, I think that FUNDAMENTAL is one of their best album. Great dance tracks and marvelleous ballads. Superb sounds and great lyrics. It's so complete. And I can't forget that is also an extra wih FUNDAMENTALISM!!

I thought your favorite was "Introspective"??

Anyways, it's way too early for me to tell how Fundamental rates compared to other albums. Suffice it to say that IMO it's the first PSB album without a weak track since "Actually", and that I absolutely love it.

I'm a fan since the first single came out.
For me the old albums are the best (Please, Actually, Introspective and behaviour).
I was also a fan of Frankie GTH and therefore a fan of Trevor Horn. Don't underestimate also the track of 8 minutes on Introspective of Left to My Own Devices; listen again...
Was something better than the singles and performance in the Performance tour?.
Face the fact; the best singles and successes came from those albums....

Very, Nightlife and etc. were okay but not as good as the first albums. Maybe you think here is a guy talking about the old days....
Nope, because Disco3 was a good start for this new album. That's the music I want tp hear from the PSB.
Fundamental is immediately for me in the category of the albums with great successes. PSB are back!!! :P :D I agree therefore with popjustice.

I have to wait and see, listen it again and again, if this album could be the best album they have made (for me). It's possible, as this album is overall, a complete, good produced and strong album with a potential of 4 singles.
Minimal and Integral do have potential for high positions in the charts, I'm with stupid get's airplay, 4th single would be difficult as there are a lot of potentials (Numb, psycho ,Sodom, Luna, 20th!!).
A lot of choice and therefore high quality.
