Thierry Henry's dignity in defeat was gracious, wasn't it Did anyone see that at the end when he was having a long conversation with Eto'o and both of them shutting up when Arsene Whinger started walking over?

I also noticed that in the first half, when Henry went down clutching his foot and the ref never gave a free kick, Barce put the ball out so he could get treatment and they never got it back

Sadly I'm detecting remnants of the food tests from Spurs' hotel - all they found was sour grapes and hard cheese.

Did you hear how many opposing fans called in to Five Live today praising Henry's "human" response to what went on in the game? Having had the pleasure of being there and seeing "everything" that went on it is undeniable that Barca (great team that they are) used every trick in the book to ensure that Henry et al finished the game battered and bruised. Oh well, another season in the Champions League should at least see Arsenal continue to learn the vagaries of top flight European football, unlike those clubs that have never even qualified for the tournament...........

Anyway.....we digress into distinctly OT territory.

I was pretty frustrated with Arsenal as they missed chance after chance and looked comfortable in the 2nd half until Barca scored. If Henry plays as a lone striker then he has to put the ball in the net, unfortunately the occasion got to him and their keeper was in fine form.

Henry seems to bottle the big games. Maybe the pressure put on him is too much.

Gareth, however battered and bruised Arsenal were, they didn't make any challenges like the Eboue tackle that nearly shattered the Barce players' pelvis. Nor did i see any Barce player throw himself all over the place like Eboue did for the goal.

Regarding Champions League qualification ;-

It's not the end of the world for Spurs. We haven't been in it so therefore cannot miss it. We have come a long way this season and would have gladly taken the UEFA cup at the beginning of the year. If Arsenal hadn't have qualified, it would have been finacial disaster. A half empty Emirates and no Henry, possibly no Fabregas. However, all three of those scenario's still might happen. I can't see Arsenal filling that stadium.

Do you think Terry Henry will leave the library?

The player made contact with Eboue and he went down (like a sack of spuds), but it's hardly uncommon when a defender commits himself is it?

Reaching the final saved Arsenal from any perceived financial disaster, they earned a vast amount of TV money from last night's game and in any case would have budgeted for any such worst case scenario - it's the only way clubs to survive these days.

The stadium will be near as dammit full for every game next season - we know that already.

I'm more confident today re Henry staying than I was before the game last night especially in light of his speech on the flight home, but, who knows!

I can't see Fabregas leaving this summer - Pires and Cole yes, and Henry maybe.

In terms of your lads, they have made massive progress this season - but in terms of money and exposure - the CL is where it's at.
