PSB for me. I'm a pethead through and through.
I'll listen to other bands depending on the mood I'm in - angry/passionate - DM or Numan. Chilled out - Beloved. Silly/happy - Erasure. And so many others that I won't even go into it. But the only band that comes anywhere near PSB is DM and at that, I'm certainly not joined their fan club or anything.

Carter were my faves after they released 1992 the love album but very eclipsed that. Barenaked Ladies are the only band that come close to the boys for me now, but not that close.retrofuturist wrote:Carter USM are my favourite.
Pet Shop Boys and Spray are neck-and-neck for 2nd.
PSB were my favourites from 1988-1994 until Carter USM released "Worry Bomb"
That's it, it's all over. We're out of here. What a Legacy! (c) Chris Lowe 2009

From Popcorn, the first single that I bought - I still remember the exciting of buying it and bringing it to home -, to Pet Shop Boys is a natural way.

I love PSB, the Smiths and New Order as a devoted catholic man loves the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost.
I also love Everything But The Girl, Kate Bush, Bjork, Aphex Twin, Madonna, Miguel Migs, Deep House / Drum'n'bass / Jungle music.
Ciao

blahblahblah
My very first PSB experience was when I was about 13 at school and some girl that fancied me at the time, that I had no interest in whatsoever, had listened to me telling somebody that I had heard this song on the radio that day and it was all religiousy sounding, but I liked it, but I had no idea who it was or what it was called. The next day I found the 7" single of Its A Sin in my desk as a present from her and I've liked them ever since! Couple of weak albums along the way, but I'll still buy always buy there stuff and after seeing them live twice this year for the first time, it has re-ignited my interest in them. I loved the Battleship Potemkin performance in Gateshead and the performance at Summerpops in Liverpool lived up to my expectations as I had wanted to see them for years.
