Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.

it bombed online but not in physical sales. it was #7 there. lots of people had downloaded the entire album beforehand on i-tunes. did you expect them to download another "numb" file just for fun to boost the charts position?patrick wrote:Yeah, but Numb bombed, didn't it?kennym wrote:It's the most obvious single i've heard all year..

I'm sure the original releases of West End Girls and Opportunities didn't set the cash registers alight in their first week out.jamie1978 wrote: It sold 6,000 physical copies.

Nothing against you personally, but I'm getting a bit tired of this Numb-bashing to be honest. The release was an experiment of sorts, and true - it didn't do fantastically... but so what? Must every single they release be a massive UK smash hit?
New Order's Bizarre Love Triangle peaked at 50-something in the UK charts and is revered by many fans as being one of their best (if not the best) song they've ever done. Even now most of us would look back more fondly on a wonderful song like Being Boring that charted at #20, than something disposable like Single-Bilingual or New York City Boy.
No-one outside these forums gives a damn about PSB's string of Top 20/25/whatever singles. It's trivia... that's all. So long as the music gets made, and the intended audience get the opportunity to hear it.... that's what it's about. Why should we care about anything more?
So back to the point of this thread... She's Madonna doesn't impress me much, but if it becomes a single and helps expose some more Robbie fans to the PSB, then I'm pleased.
Retro.

Does anybody have the sales figures for Depeche Mode's new single? It's not a good comparison because Numb is the third single from an album and Martyr is the single of a greatest hits disc but I'm curious to see how Martyr is doing in terms of sales.jamie1978 wrote:It sold 6,000 physical copies.alig wrote:it bombed online but not in physical sales. it was #7 there. lots of people had downloaded the entire album beforehand on i-tunes. did you expect them to download another "numb" file just for fun to boost the charts position?patrick wrote: Yeah, but Numb bombed, didn't it?
