this might just be the *hugest* sigh of relief i've ever had.

too bad.that was exciting news. I like a bunch of her stuff, toxic, sometimes, breath on me,born to make you happy.
I know some dont like "britney spears" but just the same she would have been a pretty damn good vehicle for whatever the PSB came up with. plus she has great legs.

If they can work with Patsy Kensit they can do no harm in working with Ms Spears..

yeah but there are degrees of skankiness.
you have your hot bodacious skanks like britney.....and then there are the courtney loves. one you would throw caution to the wind and do on the spot and and the other you would need a pre screening of a battery of HIV tests first.

For good or bad, Britney is on every mag from People to Stars weekly, the truth is "Americans" can't have enough of her. It would be the ultimate boost for PSB. Everyone is expecting Britney's new album that's been delayed due to her non stop partying, so....it would be great having PSB take control over it, & w/ the "lyrics by Spears", it's going to be from Cali to New York, no doubt about it.

this is an article i was just going to post:
Britney Spears Wants The Pet Shop Boys' Help On New Album
Britney Spears is collaborating with the Pet Shop Boys on her new album. The 25-year-old singer is determined to return to the charts with an edgy new sound and wants British electro pop duo Chris Lowe and Neil Tennant to help.
A source said: "She heard the remixes they did for Madonna and was blown away. She hopes they can weave some of their magic on her tracks too."
Britney has vowed to concentrate on her pop comeback, after spending the past few months partying following her split from husband Kevin Federline. An insider at her record company said: "It's virtually all done and it's not weepy stuff but uplifting pop. She's determined to be the No 1 female pop star again."
The Pet Shop Boys are known producing songs for established stars. They recently worked with British singer Robbie Williams on upcoming single She's Madonna.

Too bad that this isn't true.
Anyway, I wonder if it's true that Britney was "blown away" by the PSB mixes of Sorry. They were average at best and far inferior to the excellent original.

I couldn't agree more. Let's face it, Britney has released a handful of great pop hits! Though they may be more the work of the songwriters and producers than herself, like the Swedish [yey!] Max Martin who has produced many of her biggest hits (eg "Baby one more time" and "Oops, I did it again").
Whether she can really sing or not I don't know, but at least she sounds good on record, especially in the ballads. Besides, she's damn good-looking!

I find it quite bizarre how: "Britney wants to work with PSB" automatically becomes "Britney IS working with PSB."
If I say "I wanna drive a 2.0 SEAT Leon Sport", it doesn't mean I'm already driving it....
As for PSB, I like them to produce something for other artists every now and then, but I hope they will focus on their own material.

You`re wrong Blueswan. The PSb maxi mix was better than the original, even Madonna
admitted that. And if you want to settle it man to man, then lets meet in a dark ally, where i will beat the s... out of you

The PSB mix was dance-by-numbers. Any half-decent dance-producer could have done it, whereas the original sounded like few other records.
