I like to think of it as home...

I was going to mention this but you beat me to it!Dipso wrote:I believe that the Pets last contract with Parlophone expired on the day Fundamental was released - 22 May 2006. Have they really been out of contract for over a year? I don't quite know how one explains Concrete if that is the case, however
Me too. Regarding singles, I hope they do what Roisin Murphy has done with her new single; put too much stuff on it so it doesn't count towards the charts but the downloads do, lol. I don't care about the charts, I want value for money! 2+ b-sides on one CD = heaven.Phillip wrote:Very good news. I still want physical sales not just downloads, I can't put downloads on my CD shelf.
I think the music on concrete is owned by the BBC but i could be wrong.Dipso wrote:I believe that the Pets last contract with Parlophone expired on the day Fundamental was released - 22 May 2006. While we wait (for new stuff) including the hit single While we wait (for the new stuff)
Lyrics to that one:
"While we wait (for the new stuff),
sitting home watching Sho - nuff,
Rockwell rocks and he brags on
about this song from Last Dragon.
Peeping tom is his master
of puppets and disaster,
these lyrics suck
I'm uncle Buck.
Bad idea. Singles aren't released to give customers value for money. Nowadays they serve as promotion tools for an album. There's no point in releasing a single if it's not going to appear in the UK chart. However, I *do* hope that the tracklistings for an eventual new single will be attractive.! wrote:Me too. Oh, is it really? I'm sure the boys will be deeply honoured by your good will.By the way, I realised this only later when I thought of yesterday's news again: it's actually quite an achievement for Neil & Chris that Parlophone/EMI gives them a new record deal. So many similar artists switched labels, struggling to find a company that will release their output. And so many artists were already dropped. PSB, despite their age and despite not being as popular as in the 80s, got theirselves a new deal! It's actually worth a congratulation.
That's what singles have always been for but I understand your point. Well, I want at least two b-sides on one CD like Numb. I don't buy two-track singles because they're a joke and I'd rather have songs than remixes.dVTB wrote:Bad idea. Singles aren't released to give customers value for money. All I meant to say is that such a new record deal isn't a matter of course. It's an achievement, thanks to their creative output of the past 17 years. I don't see why you're so cynical about my remark.kimphilby wrote:Oh, is it really?
